Republic Day: 2025
The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Maharashtra Education Society’s Bal Shikshan Mandir English Medium School. Republic Day commemorates the adoption of India’s Constitution and the country’s transition to a republic on 26th January, 1950. The event commenced with unfurling of flag and an energetic March Past, highlighting remarkable coordination and teamwork.
Outstanding students were felicitated by the Chief Guest, Brigadier Dilip Patwardhan, in recognition of their achievements in various fields. The dazzling performances captivated the audience, leaving a lasting impression on all present.
A special highlight of the day was the Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) Space on Wheels, a mobile exhibition showcasing both working and static scientific models. This innovative exhibition aimed to foster awareness of space science and spark curiosity among students. In addition, BSM organized various competitions to encourage a scientific mindset, including quizzes, essays, and drawings, all themed around space exploration.
The occasion was honoured by several distinguished guests, including Chief Guest Brigadier Dilip Ganesh Patwardhan, Guest of Honour Mrs. Archana Dilip Patwardhan, Hon. Shri. Shree Prasad ji, Organizing Secretary for Paschim Kshetra (Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat), Dr. Manasi Malgaonkar – National Governing Member, Dr. Kaustubh Sakhare, Secretary, Vigyan Bharti Paschim Maharashtra, Pro. Abhishek Kulkarni, Treasurer, Vigyan Bharti Paschim Maharashtra, Mr. Chaphekar, State Coordinator, Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan Paschim Maharashtra, Mr. Vijay Bhalerao, Chairman of the School Committee, Dr. Santosh Deshpande, and other dignitaries from Maharashtra Education Society.
In his thought-provoking speech, the Chief Guest emphasized the importance of being a responsible citizen and urged students to pursue their passions, seek knowledge, and let success follow naturally. He stressed that self-discipline is the foundation of a successful life, and highlighted that youth is a vital asset to the nation. His inspiring words left the students with valuable insights.
The programme concluded on a patriotic note with the powerful rendition of Vande Mataram.
