Team BSM wins National Level Dance Competition
24th May 2026 :
It's a proud moment for school as a girls Bharatnatyam team performed in National Level Dance Competition Bhaav Raag Taal 2026 organised by Akhil Bharatiya Sanskritik Sangh official Partner of UNESCO .
The team bagged 1st prize in the Semiclassical gr. dance category.
This performance has been selected for international level which will be held at Andaman in November 2026.
School Principal Mrs Aditi Kulkarni congratulated the team and mentors and gave them best wishes for the performance in November.
A fresh beginning of a new academic year 2026-27
15 June 2026 : The new academic year 2026 - 27 began with chirping of students. The staff was delighted to see happiness and excitement on the faces of their beloved students. The school building looked alive and happy too.
The year began with an assembly. The school principal Mrs Aditi Kulkarni, addressed students and revealed the theme of the year ' Nurture the Nature', she explained the theme and expected that students will follow the theme by heart.
Students were also received by Mr. Jadhav from Sakal news media.
Students were excited to see their teachers and know about class teachers. Thus the first day of the school became joyful at every moment.

Celebration of International Yoga Day.
19 June 2026 :
Yoga is an ancient holistic discipline that unites the body, mind, and breath. Yoga Day is celebrated at international level on 21st June every year, the school decided to connect students with Yoga practices on 19th June. It was a humble effort to motivate them to embrace this ancient practice of healthy well being.
The day began with great enthusiasm as students carried their yoga mats and wore house uniforms. Students and teachers performed various yogasana on the day of celebration.
The entire session was meticulously planned under the keen guidance of school principal Mrs Aditi Kulkarni, AHM Mrs Bhagyashree Dhamale and Supervisor Mrs Deepali Thorat.
A fresh beginning of the day filled atmosphere with a positive energy.

20 June 2026: The school has a tradition of 100% result and this year was not an exception. Ms Sejal Pawar topped the score board with 99.8% marks. She was followed by Ishan Pawar, and Anushree Inamdar with a slight difference in their scores.
This success was grand in its own way as more than 60 students scored above 90% marks, 36 students out of 172 could score 100 /100 in Sanskrit, the list of achievers was a long one with lot many success stories in it.
The school understands that success becomes special when it gets recognised by our close ones. Hence the school had organised a felicitation programme to honour the SSC Std. X students for their outstanding success in the board examination in the MES Auditorium.
The program brought a very positive vibe among the students and warmth to the parents.

The day was marked special with a planned celebration which happened in the auditorium.

25 June 2026:
School elections are important for instilling the values of democracy among students. BSM conducts school elections every year to help students understand the electoral process and elect their representatives through a proper democratic channel.
The elections were conducted on 22 and 23 June 2026, during which students cast their votes with great enthusiasm.

Machine Learning and AI” Session
Day and Date : 4th July 2026
A session on “Machine and Artificial Intelligence” was conducted for Std IX students by a team of COEP Technological University students. A proud moment for the school — the COEP team were the school alumni , which made the session more relatable and inspiring.
The alumni started by explaining what AI and Machine Learning mean using simple examples like voice assistants, YouTube suggestions, and face unlock. They showed how machines “learn” from data just like we learn from practice.
The session ended with a Q&A session. Students were highly motivated after meeting seniors from our own school who are now studying at COEP.

Oath Taking Ceremony at BSM
04th July 2026 :
The investure (Oath-Taking) Ceremony for the Badge Holders was held with great pride and enthusiasm at our school. The newly elected student leaders, including the Head Boy- Aditya Botre, Head Girl - Mrunmayee Joshi, Vice Prefects, House Captains and Vice Captains were formally inducted into their respective responsibilities.
The Principal administered the oath, inspiring the students to perform their duties with honesty, discipline, dedication, and sincerity. The badge holders pledged to uphold the values of the school and serve as responsible role models for their fellow students.
The ceremony concluded with words of encouragement from the Principal, who urged the student leaders to lead by example and work together for the betterment of the school community.

4th July 2026
Face to face with life-changing people is a distinctive initiative by MES Bal Shikshan Mandir EMS, designed to nurture entrepreneurial skills among students.
The ice-breaking session of the academic year was led by Mr. Shailendra Barshikar, an innovator and a proud alumnus of BSM.
Alongside his professional pursuits, he advised the students to never let go of their favourite pastime. His love for exploring forts culminated in the creation of a flip book.
The session was truly helpful for all the students giving them live examples of talent and hard work go hand in hand.

म.ए.सो.बालशिक्षण मंदिर इंग्लिश मीडियम स्कूलतर्फे सालाबादप्रमाणे वारकऱ्यांना स्वदेशी स्वच्छता किटचे वाटप करण्यात आले.या स्तुत्य उपक्रमात शाळेचे सर्व पालक,शिक्षक आणि विद्यार्थ्यांचे योगदान बहुमोल आहे.
वारकरी बंधुभगिनीना स्वदेशी स्वच्छता किटमध्ये टूथपेस्ट,कपड्याचा साबण,अंघोळीचा साबण आणि खोबरेल तेल असे देण्यात आले.प्रशालेतील प्रत्येक विद्यार्थ्याने हे पर्यावरणपूरक आणि स्वदेशी असे एक किट शाळेत जमा केले.जिथे दिंड्या विसाव्याला थांबल्या होत्या तिथे जाऊन दोन हजार किटचे वाटप केले.प्रशालेचे कॅप्टन,विद्यार्थी प्रमुख व काही शिक्षक व पालक यांच्या समवेत शाळेच्या मुख्याध्यापिका सौ.आदिती कुलकर्णी यावेळी उपस्थित होते.
वारकरी माऊलीना स्वच्छतेचे महत्त्व विद्यार्थ्यांनी पटवून दिले तसेच वारीमार्गात स्वच्छता राखण्याची विनंती केली.यावेळी वारकऱ्यांसोबत विद्यार्थ्यांनी विठूमाऊलीचा गजर केला.
वारीमार्गात आपापल्या परीने खूप जण दान करत असतात परंतु हे स्वदेशी वस्तूंचे स्वच्छता किट देऊन ‘स्वच्छतेचं दान’दिल्याबद्दल विशेष कौतुक व आभार दिंडीप्रमुखांनी तसेच वारकऱ्यांनी मानले.
IUCAA SECOND SATURDAY LECTURE SERIES -1
Lecture/demonstration program at IUCAA
The program provide a scientific introduction to astronomy for students interested in this subject.
The first lecture of the IUCAA Lecture Series was organized on 11 July on the topic "The Solar System: Discoveries, Mysteries and the Future." The lecture was delivered by Dr. Sarang Shah .
Dr. Shah spoke about our Solar System, telescopes, and the fascinating field of exoplanets. He also shared information about various space missions conducted to explore exoplanets and deepen our understanding of the universe.
The lecture was highly informative and inspired the audience to learn more about astronomy and space exploration.

म ए सो बाल शिक्षण मंदिर शाळेमध्ये पवनखिंड दौड उत्साहात साजरी.
१३ जुलै २०२६ :
महाराष्ट्राच्या इतिहासातील एक महत्वाचा दिवस म्हणजे १३ जुलै १६६०. याच दिवशी शिवा काशीद, बाजी प्रभू देशपांडे, फुलाजी प्रभू देशपांडे, कोयाजी बांदल आणि ६०० बांदल सेना यांनी स्वतःच्या प्राणांची बाजी देऊन शिवाजी महाराजांना सुखरूप विशालगडावर पोहोचवले.
यादरम्यान पन्हाळा गड ते विशाल गड यादरम्यान गजापूरची घोर खिंड लागते, हे अंतर साधारण ५५ किलोमीटर चे आहे, हे अंतर आपले मावळे पाऊस, वारा, रात्र हे काही न पाहता धावले होते.
याच शौर्याची आठवण ठेऊन, म ए सो च्या बाल शिक्षण मंदिर इंग्रजी माध्यम शाळेमध्ये पवनखिंड दौडचे आयोजन करण्यात आले होते. यामध्ये १८० विद्यार्थ्यांनी सहभाग घेतला होता.
इतिहासाच्या पाऊलखुणांचा जागर करत मुलांनी अत्यंत उत्साहात या स्पर्धेमध्ये सहभाग नोंदवला. हि स्पर्धा सहा गटांमध्ये आयोजित केली गेली होती. यामध्ये मुले व मुली पहिले तीन क्रमांक काढून मुख्याध्यापिका सौ अदिती कुलकर्णी यांच्या हस्ते मुलांना पदक देऊन त्यांचा सत्कार केला, तसेच मुले व मुली यामध्ये सांघिक पारितोषिक घोषित केले.
दरम्यान मुख्याध्यापिका सौ अदिती कुलकर्णी यांनी मुलांना आजच्या दिवसाचे महत्व सांगून मार्गदर्शन केले.
Lecture on 'Pavan Khind Sangram'

A motivational and informative lecture on "Pavan Khind Sangram" was organized for the students of Grades V, VI, and VII. The session was conducted by Mr. Sanjay Badawe, Past President Rotary Club of Pune Pristine.
Mr. Badawe vividly recounted the historic Battle of Pavan Khind, highlighting the extraordinary courage, sacrifice, and unwavering loyalty of Baji Prabhu Deshpande and the brave Bandal soldiers, whose heroic stand enabled Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to safely reach Vishalgad Fort. The battle is remembered as a symbol of selfless patriotism and supreme sacrifice in Maratha history. Through captivating storytelling and historical insights, the speaker inspired the students to appreciate the values of bravery, determination, discipline, teamwork, and love for the nation.
Celebration of Mahakavi Kalidas Din.
14th July 2026:
महाकवि कालिदास is widely regarded as the legendary Sanskrit poet and a well known dramatist of all times.
कालिदास दिन is celebrated on the first day of आषाढ month to honor Mahakavi Kalidas. M.E.S. Bal Shikshan Mandir English Medium School celebrated it on Wednesday 14th July during the school assembly. Students from std.VIII, to X prepared a few topics and told the praiseworthy contribution of महाकवी कालिदास in Sanskrit literature.
Students showed deep interest in knowing Sanskrit literature.

Save Pune Traffic Movement (SPTM) is an NGO working to make urban transportation inclusive, sustainable and safe and its planning and implementation data driven and chaos-free.
Mr Harshad Abhyankar a resource person of SPTM guided teachers about safety gestures to cross road. A promising line, 'पाऊल पुढे?- हात समोर!' ...(one step forward, and hand in front).. a pedistrian should follow every time to cross the road.
The NGO always suggests necessary changes to over come traffic congestion.
Padestrian safety survey of pedistrian infrastructure, India's first 'Cycle Bus', Accessible crossings are few of the notable drives.
Such helping drives can create alertness among all citizens.

Kargil Vijay Diwas celebration.
24.07.2026.
Upside down rifle with a war helmet placed on top speaks enough of the significance of 26th July. The date marks as an immortal page in the Indian history when its armed forces ousted Pakistani army from their occupied positions on the mountain tops of Northern Kargil District in Ladakh in 1999.
To celebrate the victory and to remember the supreme sacrifice of Kargil heroes , EBSM had arranged a lecture of Mrs Anuradha Prabhudesai ma'am, who acts as a connecting link between the soldiers and civilians.
Her relentless contribution in this regard is inspiring. She didn't keep any stone unturned and percolated patriotism in everyone present in the auditorium.
Short film of Kargil conflict, working of armed forces, 4Ds( dedication, devotion,discipline and deemag mein daal diya hein) kept the audience on the edge of their seats. Auditorium was charged with war cries. She narrated stories of soldiers to convey how a soldier feels 'comfort' in every ' discomfort '. Every person wore a flabbergasted expression over the narratives.
The lecture was promising and ignited young minds to join the forces.

"आई मी मोठी होत आहे"
22nd July2026: A Parent Guidance Session titled "आई मी मोठी होत आहे" was organized for the mothers of students from Std. V to VII . The session witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 66 mother parents.
The session was conducted with the objective of fostering healthy communication between mothers and daughters regarding menstruation and adolescent development.
The session covered important aspects such as understanding menstruation, addressing common myths and facts, and guiding mothers on how to communicate with empathy and confidence when their daughters experience their first menstrual cycle. Emphasis was also laid on maintaining menstrual hygiene and adopting a nutritious diet, including iron-rich foods and adequate hydration, to support overall health during menstruation.
POSH and POCSO Act Awareness Session for Teachers
18th July 2026:
The session was conducted to create awareness among teachers about the provisions of the POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) Act and the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act. The objective was to strengthen teachers' understanding of their roles and responsibilities in ensuring a safe and secure school environment.
Mrs. Shubha Kulkarni from PDC conducted an interactive and informative session on the POSH and POCSO Acts. The session covered the key provisions of both Acts, reporting procedures, preventive measures, and the responsibilities of school staff in safeguarding children.
The session enhanced teachers' awareness of child protection and workplace safety. Participants gained valuable insights into identifying, responding to, and reporting incidents in accordance with the POSH and POCSO Acts. The session reinforced the importance of creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for both students and staff.
Cyber Security Awareness Session
A Cyber Security Awareness session was conducted at MES Bal Shikshan Mandir EMS in association with Rotary Club of Pune, Gandhi Bhavan and Katraj on Monday, 27th July 2026 for the students of Std. VIII and Std. IX. The session aimed to educate students about safe online practices, raise awareness of common threats such as phishing, malware, and identity theft, and promote responsible digital behavior.
The session was facilitated by Adv. Vaishali Bhagwat who covered the topics including safe internet practices, social media safety, cyberbullying awareness, phishing and scams, and the importance of understanding one’s digital footprint. Students actively participated in the discussion on cyber safety, and had an interactive question and answer session, which helped them connect theoretical knowledge with real-life situations. The session concluded with students assuring to adopt safe online practices in their digital interactions.
Overall, the initiative proved highly impactful, equipping young learners with the knowledge and confidence to use the digital world securely and responsibly.
🚩 Launching of Interact Club✌️
The Rotary Club launched the Interact Club for students at the school, marking a significant step in fostering leadership and community service among young learners. During the ceremony, students were formally presented with the badges. The event highlighted Rotary’s vision of empowering youth through meaningful initiatives, and collaborative projects.

Understanding India's strength: Knowing the Indian Army
28th July 2026 :
An insightful interview of Ms. Shashwati Vaze was conducted by Ms. Kaushiki Vaze. It was one of its kind programs where the BSM Alumna shared her experiences as she proudly took part in ASEEEM Foundation's "A Day with Army" initiative.
Ms. Vaze shared her memorable experience of spending six days in Uri and Baramulla with the Indian Army. During her visit, she had the opportunity to interact closely with soldiers.
She also witnessed the Army's strong bond with the local villagers and its significant contribution to society. The Army has been actively supporting the region by developing modern schools equipped with updated technology, thereby helping improve educational

"बाबा मी मोठा होतोय"
A parent guidance session titled "बाबा मी मोठा होतोय" was successfully conducted on 1st August for the parents of Std. V to VII by PDC Head Coordinator Mrs. Girija Likhite. The session aimed to help parents understand the developmental changes in adolescent boys and equip them with effective parenting strategies during this crucial stage of growth.
About 120 parents attended the session. It was encouraging to observe a significant presence of fathers, reflecting their active involvement in their children's upbringing.
The session commenced with an engaging Mirror Activity, where parents were paired and asked to become each other's mirror. The activity conveyed the powerful message that children imitate the behaviour, actions, attitudes, and communication patterns of their parents. It emphasized the importance of parents being mindful role models, as children learn more from what they observe than from what they are told.
Mrs. Girija Likhite then elaborated on the physical, psychological, emotional, and social changes that boys experience during adolescence. Parents were guided through the various stages of a boy's growth and were helped understand the challenges children face during this transitional phase.
The session further highlighted the special characteristics of adolescence, describing it as the age of curiosity, new friendships, rapid growth, confusion, and attraction. Parents were encouraged to view these changes as a natural part of development and to respond with patience, openness, and understanding.
Practical parenting tips were also shared, including the importance of affectionate touch, maintaining open communication, and demonstrating respectful behaviour towards women—such as one's wife, mother, and sister—so that children learn healthy values through observation.
An interactive question-and-answer session followed, during which parents actively participated and sought guidance on various parenting concerns. Common queries included managing children when grandparents tend to overindulge them, maintaining discipline in a joint family setup, and addressing children's questions about topics such as condoms and other age-appropriate aspects of sexuality in an honest and sensitive manner.
The session concluded on a highly positive note, with parents expressing their appreciation for the informative and practical guidance provided. They shared encouraging feedback and suggested that such sessions be regularly featured in the school newsletter, enabling the wider school community to become aware of these valuable initiatives.
Overall, the session proved to be meaningful, interactive, and impactful, strengthening the partnership between parents and the school in nurturing confident, responsible, and emotionally healthy adolescents.
Aptitude Counselling and Career Guidance Session for std. X students.
Date- 1st August 2026 Time- 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The counselling sessions was organised by PDC on the computerised aptitude test conducted on 2nd and 3rd July, with the objective of helping students make informed academic and career decisions based on their individual aptitude and interests.
Parents and students attended the counselling together according to their pre-allotted time slots. Each student was provided with a 30-minute one-to-one counselling session, ensuring personalised guidance and adequate time for discussion.
A dedicated team of seven counsellors conducted the sessions, providing comprehensive guidance based on each student's detailed aptitude assessment report. During the counselling, the reports were explained thoroughly, highlighting the student's aptitudes, strengths, areas for improvement, interests, likes and dislikes, personality traits, and suitable career pathways. The counsellors also guided families regarding the various academic streams available after Std. X and helped them understand how to make career choices aligned with the student's abilities, interests, and long-term aspirations.
The interactive nature of the counselling encouraged parents and students to discuss their concerns, clarify doubts, and gain a better understanding of future educational and career opportunities. The personalised approach enabled students to develop greater confidence in setting realistic academic goals and planning their future careers.
The overall response from both parents and students was highly encouraging. Parents appreciated the detailed explanations, practical guidance, and individual attention provided during the sessions. Students expressed enthusiasm and confidence about their future, demonstrating a positive outlook towards their academic goals and career planning
An Interactive Session on Viksit Bharat @2047
“Empowering Young Minds for a Developed India”
07th August 2026: An interactive session on “Viksit Bharat @2047” was organized for the students of Std. IX with the aim of creating awareness among young minds about India’s vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047. The session was conducted by Mr. Vishal Kanase, an established entrepreneur and socio-political leader.
Mr. Kanase engaged the students in an insightful and thought-provoking discussion on the vision of a developed India. He highlighted the importance of education, innovation, entrepreneurship, technology, social responsibility and active citizenship in building a strong and progressive nation.
He emphasized that youth play a key role in shaping the future and that Viksit Bharat is a collective responsibility.

The session concluded with an inspiring message to dream big, gain knowledge, develop skills and contribute to society, leaving students motivated to become responsible citizens for Viksit Bharat @2047.
Gurupournima Celebration at BSM
Neptune House celebrated Gurupournima with great enthusiasm and reverence on 29th July. The celebration highlighted the importance of teachers and their invaluable role in shaping the lives of students. Students presented a beautiful Abhang expressing gratitude and respect towards their Gurus. Handmade cards were lovingly gifted to the teachers as a token of appreciation. Saplings were also presented, symbolising growth, knowledge and the nurturing bond between teachers and students. The saplings were planted and prepared by the students in the skill development program of the school. Students were briefed about the significance of Gurupournima and its cultural importance. The Principal, Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni, extended her warm wishes to all the teachers on this auspicious occasion.

The Independence Day celebration was organised with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. The programme was graced by Commander Vinayak Apte as the Chief Guest, along with Mr Vijay Bhalerao, Chairman, School Committee; Dr Ravindra Vaidya, Principal, Senior college; Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni, Dr. Vaishali Kulkarni and Mrs. Sayli Deshmukh, Headmistresses of all the sections. The Chief Guest was felicitated on the occasion.
The celebration featured a soulful rendition of Vande Matrubhumi by the Primary Section and Bharat Ki Santan by the Secondary Section, composed by the school music teacher, Mr Mandar Talnikar. The manuscript Randhurandhar was inaugurated at the hands of the Chief Guest.
In his inspiring address, Commander Apte highlighted the significance of discipline, character-building and responsible citizenship. He spoke about opportunities in the Armed Forces, the importance of technical skills and the emerging role of cyber soldiers. He reminded students that true freedom comes with responsibility. The chief guest visited the display arranged by students which told the stories of various operations conducted by Indian Armed Forces post independence, it was an impressive galore of the sacrifices of Indian bravehearts.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and the singing of Vande Mataram. Students of Std. X, teachers, parents and alumni attended the celebration.
