Guest Lecture
A guest lecture was organized for the students of Classes XI and XII Science at MES Higher Secondary School on 19th August 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the MES Auditorium.
The session was conducted by members of Sharada Shakti. Dr. Jyoti Tai Joshi was the main speaker, accompanied by Dr. Ujjwala Tai Mate and Mrs. Charuta Prabhudesai, all of whom are retired professors.
Dr. Ujjwala Mate introduced the students to the activities and objectives of Sharada Shakti. Dr. Jyoti Joshi shared her inspiring journey during her Ph.D. and guided students on how to pursue research, what research involves, and what it takes to become a scientist. The interactive and informative session encouraged students to develop curiosity and consider research as a career option.
The guests were felicitated by Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni, Principal. Mrs. Amruta Phadke compered the programme, while Mrs. Pushpalata Bhagat proposed the vote of thanks. The lecture was informative, inspiring, and greatly beneficial for the students.
Mehendi and Tattoo Competition
A Mehendi and Tattoo Competition was organised on the auspicious occasion of Nagpanchami on 17 August 2026, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Students took part with great enthusiasm and showed off their creativity, artistic skills, and cultural spirit. The event gave them a fun platform to express their talent through traditional Mehendi designs and creative tattoo art.
The competition wrapped up successfully with active participation and appreciation from the organisers and teachers.
Mehendi and Tattoo Competition
'A Mehendi and Tattoo Competition' was organised at MES BSM Higher Secondary School campus on the auspicious occasion of Nagpanchami on Monday, 17 August 2026, from 3:30 p.m. to* 5:00 p.m. Students of XI and XII Std. participated in the competition with great enthusiasm and showcased their creativity, artistic skills, and cultural spirit.
The event provided students with an enjoyable platform to express their talent through traditional Mehendi designs and creative tattoo art. The participants displayed great interest, originality, and enthusiasm throughout the competition.
The competition concluded successfully with active participation from the students and appreciation from the organisers and teachers. The event proved to be an engaging and creative experience for all the participants.
Guru Purnima Celebration and Freshers’ Welcome
MES Higher Secondary School celebrated Guru Purnima and Freshers’ Welcome on 12th August 2026, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. in the school auditorium.
The programme commenced with the celebration of Guru Purnima, followed by an enthusiastic Freshers’ Welcome for the students. Students of Standards XI and XII participated with equal enthusiasm and presented a variety of musical performances, singing numbers and dance performances, adding joy and vibrancy to the occasion.
The programme provided an opportunity for students to express their gratitude towards their teachers and warmly welcome the new students. The event concluded on a cheerful note, with snacks being served to all the students.
Overall, the celebration was a joyful, meaningful and memorable experience for the students and staff.
भात लागवड उपक्रम

वाणिज्य आणि कला शाखेच्या इयत्ता १२ वीच्या विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी पौड येथे भात लागवड उपक्रमाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले. या उपक्रमामध्ये विद्यार्थ्यांनी प्रत्यक्ष शेतात उतरून भात लागवडीचा अनुभव घेतला. शेतकऱ्यांचे कष्ट, शेतीचे महत्त्व आणि पारंपरिक शेतीपद्धती यांची विद्यार्थ्यांना जवळून ओळख झाली.
उपक्रमादरम्यान विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी सकाळचा नाश्ता व दुपारच्या जेवणाची व्यवस्था करण्यात आली होती. विद्यार्थ्यांनी उत्साहाने सहभाग नोंदवून श्रमाचे महत्त्व, सहकार्याची भावना आणि निसर्गाशी असलेले नाते अनुभवले. हा उपक्रम विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी ज्ञानवर्धक, प्रेरणादायी आणि अविस्मरणीय ठरला.

Rice Plantation Activity
Date: 29 July 2026Venue: Kule Village, near Mulshi Timing: The journey started at 7:30 a.m. from Pune and we returned to school at 5:00 p.m.
A Rice Plantation Activity was organized for the students of XI and XII Science on 29 July 2026 at Kule Village near Mulshi. The activity was conducted with the objective of providing students with practical exposure to agriculture and helping them understand the hard work and dedication involved in farming.
The students actively participated in the paddy plantation under the guidance of local farmers. This hands-on experience enabled them to learn the traditional methods of rice cultivation and appreciate the physical effort required in agricultural work.
The students participated with great enthusiasm and thoroughly enjoyed working in the fields. The experience left them happy, overwhelmed, and deeply appreciative of the invaluable contribution of farmers to society. Many students expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards the farming community for their relentless efforts in ensuring food security.
The activity proved to be both educational and memorable, fostering respect for agriculture while strengthening the students' connection with nature and rural life.

All students and parents are kindly requested to be seated in the auditorium at least 15 minutes before the commencement of the program.

Celebration of the 12th International Yoga Day
MES Higher Secondary School celebrated the 12th International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm on Monday, 22nd June, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The celebration was organized for the students of the Arts, Commerce, and Science streams in separate sessions. International Yoga Day is observed to promote health, discipline, and well-being, and the 2026 theme is “Yoga for Healthy Ageing.”
The programme was graced by *Mrs. Haldule*, who guided the students on the importance of eating right for a healthy and bright future. The Arts stream students attended the session from 2:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m., the Commerce stream from 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m., and the Science stream from 4:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The students participated with great interest and enthusiasm throughout the event. The celebration successfully encouraged awareness about yoga, healthy eating, and a balanced lifestyle among the students of the school.

An orientation programme for the students of Std. XII Science was conducted on 13 June 2026 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the MES Auditorium.
The programme commenced with the felicitation of the HSC toppers of the previous academic year, recognizing their outstanding achievements. Principal Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni addressed the students and provided valuable guidance on academic discipline, goal setting, and preparation for the year ahead.
This was followed by an academic overview presented by Mrs. Anuradha Kulkarni, Coordinator of the Science Stream. She briefed the students about the curriculum, examination pattern, and expectations for the academic year.
The programme concluded with a motivating message encouraging students to strive for excellence and make the most of the opportunities available to them.

An orientation programme for the students of Std. XII Commerce and Arts was conducted on 13 June 2026 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the MES Auditorium.
