Phenomenal success of Athletes in BSM Athletics Meet 2024.

Playing sports and games helps students improve their self-esteem, social skills, and confidence. It also teaches them about time management and discipline. Moreover, it can also be used as a career path or hobby. Understanding the need of sports in student’s life and keeping pride of heritage, BSM organises Athletic Meet every year on Shiv Jayanti to celebrate the birth anniversary of our ideal king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
The event took place on BSM ground on 19 th Feb.2024. It proved to be a grand success with participation of around 1700 athletes from various schools and clubs across Pune. Sports professionals evaluated the performances of athletes in different events such as shot put, relay, long jump, 50 mtr. run and so on. The celebration started with a torch run and a formal function of opening ceremony, it was graced by Mr. Babasaheb Shinde, Chairman, MES Society and Mr. Vijay Bhalerao, Chairman, School committee and MES Kridavardhini and other dignitaries on Dias. The rally of the events unfolded the skills of many upcoming talented athletes. It brought cheers and tears to the players. But the enthusiasm and excitement remained unmatched to any other joy.
After many events and consecutive declarations of winners the time came to closing ceremony. It again was a magnificent display of culture where Shiv Rajyabhishek sohla was presented by a younger batch of BSMians. The closing ceremony witnessed the graceful presence of Mr. Sachin Navale, Athlete at international level and Dr. Bharat Vhankate , Visitor, School committee and Mr. Sudhir Bhosale, Vice Secretary MES, Visitor MES Kridavardhini . Trophies along with cash prizes brought a wave of fulfillment to the players. MES BSM Kridavardhini won the general championship, where are Army Public School and Eklavya Sports Academy stood as 1st and 2nd runners up.
The entire program ran smoothly due to meticulous planning of BSM Sports department and keen guidance of Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni, Principal MES BSM EMS. In all it was an amazing display of beautiful culture and healthy sports.
