Welcome to the website of M.E.S Balshikshan Mandir English Medium School. The School located in Pune, Maharashtra, is run by the Maharashtra Education Society. We aspire to empower all students to succeed in their world by offering a wide variety of challenging, enjoyable and successful curricular opportunities, sports programs, performing arts programs along with various clubs and life skill based activities.
The world today is changing at such an accelerated rate that we need to pause and reflect on system of education in schools. At Balshikshan Mandir we impart education to match the advancement in technology and globalization. As our students march ahead with the ethos of moral values and principles, we endeavour constantly to instill these qualities in our children. We take pride in helping them grow and develop into sensitive and responsible citizens of the next generation.Teamwork is the hallmark of Balshikshan Mandir. A committed and supportive management, dedicated teachers, caring and co-operative parents blend harmoniously to create a child-centric school. It is natural to find in this ambience, the intensive use of a variety of thinking activities, strategies and group dynamics so that the classrooms become alive. In such a surrounding when work and effort is valued, the child's self-esteem is heightened, and from this results self-motivation. We try to understand and work with each child, and we firmly believe that it is our responsibility to enable the child in our care to develop as a whole. I am very sure through collaborative effort we can achieve more to benefit our students who are the future leaders of tomorrow.
Our philosophy of education has always been meeting the needs of the individual child. Children acquire skills and knowledge easily if we can make the surroundings stimulating and purposeful. In the 21st century, the digital revolution has affected us all. Quite simply, it is changing everything: a brilliant barrage of information, entertainment, companionship and education is speedily available. In this era of cut throat competition, it is of paramount importance to impart an integrated education to the future citizens of the nation for successfully facing challenges. Balshikshan Mandir School, therefore, lays special emphasis on life skill activities, providing students an edge over others to be leaders in their respective field of activity. Through life skills programme, the school aims to develop a cadre of empowered, educated and healthy adolescents, capable of making decisions in life.In addition students are encouraged to take advantage of the many resources available to them- their teachers, the library, the computer laboratory labs, and the Science laboratory. Our sports facilities provide our students the launching pad to hone their talents and make a mark in a variety of sport disciplines.
Our commitment is to provide a safe, positive, intellectual learning environment that will empower students to become creative problem solvers, thinkers and inspired learners prepared for life in the twenty-first century. I would like to continue setting high expectations for our students with regard to academic performance within the classroom, participation in co-curricular activities as well as responsible citizenship at school and in the community. As far as the members of the teaching staff are concerned, I believe that effective teachers create opportunities for collaboration, problem-solving, and application of classroom learning to real life situations; you should design instruction to integrate a variety of innovative technological tools and resources to enhance learning; Collaborate with colleagues to share and discuss exemplary practices, interpret student performance data, and design assessments that promote twenty-first century skills.
Each issue of our school magazine “Foot Prints” is a milestone that marks our growth, unfolds our imaginations, and gives life to our thoughts and aspirations. It unleashes a wide spectrum of creative skills ranging from writing to editing and even in designing the magazine. I congratulate the entire editorial team for their hard work and dedication in making this dream come true.
Our mission is to continue to do what we have always done: develop this school and the students with integrity and values; also, to give our students the best opportunities and the best all-round education. Our vision is to produce conscientious, smart and confident citizens of India who will go out into the world and make us proud!
Let's pledge to work together to take our school to further heights of excellence. 'I believe that when we dream together, It is the beginning of a reality'

'Enlightnment is growing all the time. It is not something that happens once, and is then complete’.
-Thich Nhat Hanh
As we celebrated the year “Towards Enlightenment Through Value Education” we tried to inculcate good habits, values and gave integrated experiences to imbibe overall life skills through different activities and events to the students.
As the year unfolded through learning different values in alignment with NEP 2020, with the interaction with parents and observation of students, we found that the students have become aware about their surroundings and responsibilities.
Values have helped the students in inculcating good habits, observation skills, environmental sensitivity and gaining insight. Students have become more creative and confident.
Now they have the basic competencies related to values learnt through awareness created. The core value of ‘Awareness’ was achieved and now the students are ready to take the ownership of the competencies learnt and cruise ahead.
While we were working to do something different for the students, we set clear and SMART goals and made realistic plans to accomplish them. Activities carried out throughout the year made a powerful impact on the students and have helped foster growth mindset development.
We got students involved in real world problems and have tried to bridge the gap between classroom and life. We have helped them realize the power they have to make a difference for the things they care about.
In the age of artificial intelligence, we have tried to pair the artificial intelligence of computers with the cognitive, social, and emotional skills and values in children.
We wore different hats and played different roles to our students by showing them their goals they must achieve and lead them by going with them as we understand school is their second home and teachers is a substituent parent.
We teachers are value educators and must also empower students with learning difference and challenges by making the school environment inclusive. For all this the teacher should be a continuous learner. The role of a teacher in education is everlasting and evergreen.
“A good teacher is like a candle;
it consumes itself to light the way of others”.

‘Child is the father of man’
This is truly said. There is no manual or course available for parenting. We all learn to understand our child while shouldering the responsibility of parenting.
In modern times the demands on both the sides are ever pressing and increasing. Both the parents as earning members are expected to nurture the future generation of India as superpower.
Security, Health, Affection, Discipline and Education creates a SHADE under which the child enjoys his childhood. We need to spend quality time with our wards. Where there is no fear; the head becomes creative and innovate.
Let us treat child as an individual with some spark in him. BSM tries to nurture this spark in the students.
