Industrial Visit to Parag Milk Foods Limited.
25th November, 2022
An industrial visit to Parag Milk Foods Ltd, Manchar. was organized for Std. XII Commerce students. Different brands of the company like Govardhan, Go, Avtar were introduced to the students through a small presentation. The presentation also included some commercials of the company. The transportation was arranged from the college to the factory. The teachers accompanied the students. After the presentation, the students enjoyed a delicious lunch followed by visit to their ‘Bhagyalaksmi Cow Farm’ where the students experienced the unique cow milking process which was fully automatic with an amazing discipline.
After the cow farm, the students visited the biggest cheese plant of Asia and enjoyed the live process of the cheese being prepared followed by high-tea. The overall experience was unique and informative to the commerce students as it was related to the production cycle, synchronization between different departments, supply chain management, cleanliness and maintenance. The students returned with good inputs towards their curriculum. It was a refreshing day for them.

A meeting for Parents and teachers was arranged on 19 th November, 2022 Saturday. This meeting was organised
for XII 2022-23 students for discussing their performance in the Terminal Exam 1 Conducted in the month of
October before Diwali.
All the teachers discussed about students performance with regard to their own subject to parents individually.

guest lecture about Law and Order
28th October, 2022
In order to maintain Law and Order and in order to inculcate discipline among the students, a guest lecture was arranged by MES HSS. A.C.P. Rukmini Galande was the guest lecturer. She, along with her team explained the importance of Law and Order and importance of discipline in students’ life. She inspired the students by throwing light on her struggles and explained the importance of efforts and perseverance in order to achieve your goals. Along with other points she explained the harm of the overuse of mobile phones, phone addiction and increase in the crime rate due to such an addiction.
The other team members elaborated about POSCO Act, Juvenile Age Bar and assured students that the police are for their safety , but at the same time they explained that the laws are strict and made for the safety of the citizens and hence the wrong-doers will never be exempted. They explained about the gravity of cyber crimes and various provisions in the law for the same.
The officers of Damini Pathak explained about the importance of the particular branch and ensured safety and help to all the women.

Navaratri Dandiya

On 29th September, 2022, a dandiya evening was organized for Std. XII Commerce students. The event lasted from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. It was conducted on the MES college ground. The students played dandiya and danced to the songs of Garba. Later, snacks and refreshments were provided to them. The event was extremely enjoyable and enthusiastic. The students enjoyed to the fullest.

Orientation program for standard XI was conducted on 28/09/2022 Wednesday at 9:30 am. The
programme started with Lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana by Dr. Shilpa Haldule. Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni,
principal of MES higher secondary school, addressed the parents and students.
Mrs. Anuradha Kulkarni, coordinator of science stream, introduced the academic plan of the year 22-23.
She also spoke about the general rules of conduct within the college premises. She guided students
about the evaluation pattern for every subject and conveyed exam schedule foe the academic year 22-
23.

On 28 th September, 2022, an orientation for Std. XI commerce students was conducted in the MES
auditorium from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The programme was commenced by seeking the blessings of
Goddess Saraswati. Honourable Principal Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni madam addressed the students and shared
a piece of advice with them. The toppers of Std. X 2021-22 were felicitated by principal madam. Mrs.
Radhika Kulkarni explained the academic evaluation for the year 2022-23. Mrs. Apurva Sane explained
about the planned activities for the current year. Coordinator Mrs. Sangeeta Joshi madam explained the
rules and regulations of the college. Mrs. Devyani Kurkute gave a formal vote of thanks. Many parents
and students were present exhibiting a huge response for the session.

Gurupornima and Teacher’s day Celebration
Students of Standard XII celebrated Gurupornima and Aashadhi Ekadashi on 07 September 2022 in BSM Auditorium. The programme was compared and conducted by students under the guidance of teachers in cultural team.
The programme started with Lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana. Our chief guest, our Principal ma'am, Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni rendered students with motivational words of appreciation and wished them luck. Followed by all the dance performances, singing performances and speeches by students expressed their love and respect for teachers in their best possible manner. Report about Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations

On 31st August, 2022, Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated as MES Higher Secondary School in order to
welcome Lord Ganesh. The decorations were done by the Primary and Secondary section. Both,
Commerce and Science stream were a part of the celebration. The Class Representatives of both the
streams welcomed Lord Ganesh and performed the aarti. The celebration established positive vibes in
the entire campus and everybody enjoyed thoroughly.

On 29 th August, 2022, Sports Day was organized for Std. XII commerce students on the account of the
birth anniversary of hockey player Major Dhyan Chand. The activty was conducted from 4:00 p.m. to
5:30 p.m. on the ground. Mixed team combination was used for maximum participation. Games like
modified Kho-Kho and Dodgeball were conducted and tug-of-war as a fun activity. Team A was the
winner in modififed Kho-Kho and team B was the winner in Dodge ball.

On 29th August 2022, National Sports Day was celebrated by our students on the occasion of birth anniversary of Major Dhyanchand. Students of standard XII participated in many sports activities conducted on the ground. These sports activities included modified Kho-Kho, dodge ball, and running race. Such activities are an escape for students to relax and so they can perform better on academic front. Students enjoyed the activities thoroughly and the main goal of the programme, that is imbibing importance of daily exercise in student's mind, was successfully achieved.

On 27 th August, 2022, an ISO Training was conducted for all the teachers of Primary, Secondary and
Higher Secondary section. Mr. Amol Kulkarni guided the teachers about the importance of the ISO,
standards of ISO and the need for it the educational institutes. Recognizing the importance of quality
education for all, ISO has developed ISO 21001, the first ever management system standard on
education system. The ISO enhances the ability to consistently provide good services. It can finally result
into customer satisfaction.

On 24 th August, 2022, an eco-friendly Ganapati making activity was organized for Std. XII Commerce
students in association with Rotary Club of Gandhi Bhavan. The members of the Rotary club came to the
college in order to teach and guide the students about Ganapati making. They were explained about the
importance of the usage of eco-friendly materials for Ganapati making. The Shadu soil was brought and
distributed among the students by them. The students actively participated in the activity and created
beautiful idols out of the Shadu soil.

In order to discuss the results of the Unit Test and the overall development of the students, a PTA meeting
was commenced on August 20 th , 2022 for Std. XII Commerce students. The meeting was conducted as per
their batches of the blocks. The toppers for the Unit Test were announced. The class teachers of the
respective classes addressed the gathering and all the subject teachers also added their views about
students, their progress, preparation for the said subjects from the boards point of view. Many parents
attended the meeting and some of them met the concerned teachers personally. Some issues regarding
overall discipline and attendance were also discussed with students and parents. Overall, the meeting was
successful.

PTI Meeting Standard- XII

PTI Meeting was conducted on Saturday,20/08/22 to discuss performance of students in the Unit Test exam conducted from 25/07/22 to 30/07/22. XII is a very important year in student's career path. Parents need to get time to time feedback
of all the activities, exams and other extra curricular activities which are being conducted in college for the betterment of our students. Thus these meeting prove very fruitful for establishing direct communication between parents and teachers. In the PTI conducted on 20/08/22 we could speak to parents about attendance of lectures as well as performance of students in the Unit Test.

for the program was Manoj Kulkarni. The program began by hoisting the National Flag proceeded by the

On 2 nd August, 2022, a series of guest lectures was organized for Std. XII Commerce students. The first
lecture was conducted by Lighthouse, a project sponsored by Pune Corporation. The lecture was
delivered by Mrs. Bhavana Pagar in order to make students aware about the opportunities provided by
Lighthouse.
The second lecture was by Mr. Ashish Oswal on the behalf of ICAI in order to give students basic
guidance about the course of CA.
The third lecture was conducted by Sarpamitra, Pune on the occasion of Nagpanchami. The students
were given basic knowledge about different types of poisonous and non-pisonous snakes and the
remedies for snake-bite. The lecture was conducted by Sarpamitra Harshal sir and Tushar sir.
The students were benefitted on different fronts and got knowledge about different topics through this
lecture series.
The guests were felicitated by Mrs. Sangeeta Joshi madam, coordinator, commerce stream.

Tree Plantation activity
Day, Date and Time: - Friday 22/07/2022 at 10:30 am
Venue: - Warje Smritivan, Pune
As the times are marking the importance of green cover of our Mother Earth, we at MES HSS can not be an exception to this. We at MES HSS carry an emblem of environmental cognizance. Hence an activity of tree plantation was conducted in collaboration with Rotary Club and Terre Policy centre, for students to imbibe the importance and benefits of planting trees. Science coordinator Mrs . Anuradha Kulkarni has extended a lot of help by milking her contacts in bringing this idea into reality.
350 students, 30 teachers from Science and commerce stream, 6 members of Rotary Club and 2 supporting members from Terre Policy took part in this activity. The activity was very enjoyable and students learnt a lot through this activity. Students planted Neem trees, banyan trees and Peeple trees. Mostly plantation of trees which are native to deciduous climate was done by students. In this way students got a lot of information of deciduous climate and reasons why these particular trees can survive in the deciduous climate. This activity was conducted as an EVS activity.

Paper Bag Making Activity
“Waste is only waste, if we waste it.” This quote simply give’s us the motivation to think for recycling, innovative ideas. Hence, on 28th July 2022 Paper bag activity was conducted by MES for XII Science students.
This activity was conducted by all the teachers under the guidance of Science stream Co-ordinator Mrs. Anuradha Kulkarni . All the teachers spent their time and energy and actively trained all the students to prepare bags from the paper.
Students enjoyed this activity thoroughly. They showed their creativity by making different types of paper bags. Also students prepared cloth bags from their old un useful T-Shirts as a part of their EVS activity on the same day.
The students active participation and innovative thinking made us proud, which proved the activity was fruitful in every manner.

On 8/07/2022 the orientation for Std. XII students was conducted. The programme was opened with Sarswati vandana and lighting the lamp. The students were present for the session with their parents. The students were addressed by Honourable Principal Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni madam. Later Mrs. Sangeeta Joshi madam, coordinator of commerce stream, and other teachers explained the plan for the entire year. An alumni Pranav Bhure presented the short film created by him that had won more than 30 awards nationally and internationally. He expressed his feelings towards the college. He was felicitated by Honourable Principal madam. The previous year HSC boards toppers were felicitated by Honourable Principal madam and coordinator Sangeeta Joshi madam.

An orientation programme for parents and students of standard XII (science) was held on Friday 8 th July 2022. The Programme started with opening speech of Mrs. Amruta Phadke followed by lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana. Our newly appointed Principal Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni addressed the parents and students. After the introduction of the teaching staff Mrs. Anuradha Kulkarni addressed the audience. Information regarding the activities conducted during year 2022-23 was given to parents. General rule of conduct and discipline were told to students and a guideline of marking system of XII HSC
board was discussed in this meeting. Subject-wise marks and evaluation pattern was discussed. Overall this meeting was informative and fruitful.
Yoga Day 2022-23
Yoga has the power to reconstruct the person completely. On 21/06/2022, MES Higher Secondary School celebrated Yoga day with our PT teacher, Mrs. Minakshi Patil. All the XII std. students and staff participated in this session with great enthusiasm.
The session started with different Yogasanas and followed by meditation. As yoga is a group of physical, mental and spiritual practices. The perfect synchronization between mind and body create positive impact in every aspect. As Our moto is not only to enhance our academic excellence but also to enhance all-rounder development of our students.
The programme was conducted between 12 to 1.00 PM. Students enjoyed the session very much. Our PT teacher conducted this session very well. She explained the importance of each Yogasana at that time.

International Yoga Day Celebration
21st June, 2022, Tuesday, was an International Yoga Day. In order to celebrate the same a Yoga session was arranged in MES BSM campus for 12th Commerce students. The session was conducted by a professional Yoga instructor, Mrs. Daksha Jakhadi. The session started with warm up exercises, then some basic asanas were taken. Breathing techniques and Pranayam were also taught to the students. An hour long session ended with Brahmari Pranayam which is very important for improving concentration among students.
Students participated enthusiastically and enjoyed the session. The Principal, Mrs. Geetanjali Bodhankar also guided the students by sharing her thoughts. She also felicitated guest for the day.
The session was very helpful for the teachers as well as for students.

XII Science CR & LR Elections 2022-23
Class representative and ladies representative is the prime official channel of
communication between teachers and students for any academic related issues. The students by contesting elections also get a chance to develop skills such as communication,
organization, team work, management, negotiation and decision making. It helps in good
interaction between the students. MES Higher Secondary School conducts elections for class and ladies representatives for XI and XII standards every year. This year, the election was democratically conducted by XII std. students on 20th June 2022.
Students who had voluntarily showed interest were asked to share their thoughts and requested to vote appeal. Then division wise voting had taken separately. Students participated enthusiastically and enjoyed the whole process.

World Environment Day
In healthy living and for the existence of life on planet environment plays an important role. So for the awareness and the protection of the environment we celebrate world Environment Day on 5th June 2022.
This year to celebrate World Environment Day, guest lecture was arranged in MES BSM campus. The renowned social activist Mr. Vinod Bodhankar sir had given an eye opening lecture. Mr. Bodhankar sir is designer and Co-founder, co-ordinator of Sagarmitra abhiyan.
He delivered a lecture regarding river rejuvenation. He made us to think how our Head-Heart-Hand approach can save our rivers. All the staff of MES BSM EMS & higher secondary school attended the lecture. The programme was successful in every way.
Quiz competitions are always interesting and informative which provide excitement among the students. An inter-collegiate online ‘World Quiz Competition’ was organized by Edwise International on 30th December,2021. Due to COVID - 19 pandemic, the event was carried out online on Zoom platform. The quiz was unique in itself because it was held on virtual platform.
The questions covered areas like education, business, current affairs, science and history. 11 teams from different junior colleges across Pune participated in the competition.
It is a thing of pride that our std XII science team secured first position while std XII commerce team second position. They have been awarded with trophy, gift hampers and certificates in the prize distribution ceremony held on 11th January,2022.

A magnificent sports week was organized at MES BSM school and Higher Secondary School from 6th to 11th December,2021 in which all the students from class V to XII participated with great fervour and manifested their athletic skills. Many team events and individual games were conducted from 8th to 10th December,2 021 for junior college Science section. On 17th December,2021 prize distribution ceremony was held for all. The dignitaries who graced the occasion were Ms. Janhavi Awere and Ms. Rewa Deokule, the athletes and past students from MES BSM and Mr. Sudhir Bhosale, Kridavardhini school visitor.
