BSM ADVENTURE CLUB @RAIRESHWAR
14th September 2024 - Raireshwar is one of the most beautiful forts in Maharashtra. Shivaji Maharaj took an oath to form Swarajya in the temple on Raireshwar, thus this fort has a special place in the hearts of Shivbhakta. Also it is famous for finding soils of seven different colours which is unique.
BSM Adventure Club took BSMians to visit this fort which showcased nature at its best at this time of the year.
Students enjoyed the trek. It was a feast of fitness and fun together for kids.

Shades of Mehendi and Colours of Nature.

The holy month Shravan brings with it a message of happiness and prosperity. The first festival of Shravan is Nagpanchami, it reflects our gratitude towards different elements of nature. It is celebrated by drawing Mehendi and worshipping snakes.
MES BSM took the privilege to arrange a Mehendi competition for girls and Poster making competition for boys on this special day of Shravan. It was a theme based activity where girls had to follow the theme 'Nature' and boys were suggested to prepare posters depicting need of 'Conservation of Environment'. The competition was conducted during the last 4 periods of the school. The judges were impressed by the intricate designs in Mehendi and creative poster making.
Students enjoyed the activity and were engrossed in making beautiful posters and drawing mehendi.
Money management in multiple ways.
Money is the strong medium that promotes multiple tasking. Utilization of money is indeed equal as earning it.
A session on Finance management was conducted for the secondary teachers. The proprietors of Era Capital Pvt Ltd. Mr Kaustubh Wadekar ( CFA) and Mr Mahesh Kulkarni ( Head of Sales) briefed the teachers about how to manage the savings, ways to help money grow, how to draw passive income and other such detailed account of monetary transactions were discussed. Instead of money kept in savings one should opt to invest in trusted funds to earn profit in future , similarly changing the passive outlook of handling money into cautious effort to raise the cash in hand and capital was explained well.
Kargil Vijay Diwas
A guest lecture was conducted by Col. Arun Dhongade for the students of Std. VIII, IX and X on the topic 'a career in the armed forces'. It was an interactive and inspiring session for all. Kargil Vijay Diwas marks the unwavering resolve of Indian armed forces in protecting India’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. This is the day to commemorate India’s victory over Pakistan and to honour the sacrifices of hundreds of Indian soldiers.
Orenda : A thematic journey of aspiring artists.
The stage was set to celebrate the melodrama, aesthetic beauty, humor and other shades of drama. The occasion was an inter house competition at BSM. Std V and VI students presented drama meticulously and thrilled everyone in the auditorium. The dialogue delivery, expression, intonation were scrupulous. Students were into the skin of the character they were portraying. English department guided the students from selection to presentation of drama. Selected drama topics were close to students mindset. The day was loaded with fun and frolic gestures. The runner- up winner was the Neptune House.
The Pluto House was declared victorious .
Green environment save environment.
12 July 2024.
MES BSM school Science club had organized a lecture on preservation and conservation of environment for Std V and VI students. Dr. Swati Korde was the resource person on this occasion. She put forth the need to nurture the thought of environment protection into action. The concept of Recycle- Reduce and Reuse was well illustrated. Further she suggested the replacement of non biodegradable products with nature friendly things. Students should stand as mighty warriors to fight the nature decomposition. Students interacted and cleared their doubts in question answer session.
Headmistress, Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni made a appeal to the students not to use plastic bottles and tiffin as well.
Std X Field Visit to Raireshwar Fort.
6th July 2023-24.
Practical experience is always beneficial to learn better and for long time retention. Field visits give exposure to children to explore and to get the experience. Visit to the Rireshwar fort was fruitful as students understood geographical and historical importance of Sahyadri mountain range in paving the path of swaraj by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Hence visit to such auspicious place was indeed a special moment. It was a planned activity for the students of std X. Students discussed geographical and historical concepts in detail with concern teachers.

MES EBSM always contributes for the wellbeing of the society.
A lecture by well known environmentalist Mr Vinod Bodhankar was arranged for the students of Std VI ,VII and X to highlight the importance of marine and marine life.
In the Sagar Mitra Abhiyaan students, teachers deposit the dry plastic and e- waste in the school for further recycling.
Mr. Vinod Bodhankar sir gives valuable guidance in this regard. Recycling, Reducing and Reusing plastic waste to preserve Oceans is the gist of the project. With the growing need to create awareness to protect blue- nation that is the earth, such sparking initiative are important as they work to save , sooth and support water reservoirs and aquatic flora and fauna.
General elections at BSM.

The Constitution has given the franchise right to every Indian. At school level, children enjoy and exercise the right and select their official representatives.
The school general elections were conducted on for the post of Head boy, Head girl, Prefects and Vice Prefects on 24th of June.
On 28th June Headmistress Mrs Aditi Kulkarni administered the Vote of conduct to the newly elected students representatives.

Nation building session by Alumni
26 June 2024.
Nation building session was conducted by our alumni (batch 2017)Shubhankar Swarup Kalekar for std 9th and 10th students in the MES auditorium on 26/06/24.Shubhankar Kalekar being the candidate of Indian Navy academy will be commissioned as officer in Indian Navy in June 2025. He guided the students with the various aspects and opportunities in Indian Navy service. He also shared his valuable experience with the students. It was indeed a brain storming session. The students were further guided by headmistress Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni madam. Headmistress Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni, Assistant headmistress Mrs. Bhagyashree Dhamale, Supervisor Mrs. Sneha pethkar, all teachers of std IX and Std X and students of Std IX and Std X were present for the session.
Balance in diet, Balance in life
25 June 2024:
A balanced diet supplies the nutrients our body needs to work effectively. Without balanced nutrition, our body is more prone to disease, infection, fatigue, and low performance. Children who don't get enough healthy foods may face growth and developmental problems, poor academic performance, and frequent infections.
MES Bal Shikshan Mandir takes initiative in developing good habits among its students. Vidyavrat is a flagship program of the school. The school conducts various lectures to make students aware about the Indian Knowledge System which enables them to remain focused on studies and be good citizens. The first lecture under the series explained the importance of a balanced diet in students' life.
Mr Vishwas Joshi, Mrs Swati Unkule and Mrs Ashwini Atkekar explained the importance of balanced diet and ill effects of frequent consumption of junk food to the students.
This lecture received a warm response from students. This lecture series started under the guidance of Mrs Aditi Kulkarni, headmistress of the school.
Yog Day
21 June 2024.
The international Yog Day was celebrated in BSM on 21 June. The day was well equipped with asanas, sun salutations and meditation.
Students are motivated throughout the year to maintain sound mind and healthy body. On the occasion of Yog Day too students were on their toes to demonstrat flexibility in body and peacefulness in mind. PE teachers Mrs Minakshi Patil and Mr Rajkumar Shirke helped students in the session to perform better.

The new academic year began with zeal and enthusiasm. Std V to X students were excited to resume their school activities. Std V joining the secondary section were seen more curious. They were given warm welcome by the Principal Mrs Aditi Kulkarni. The assembly was conducted and few fulfilled activities were exercised. The daily Sakal Newspaper personals visited the school and briefed about competition and coupons to be conducted in near future. Thereon the new members in the BSM family was introduced by cheerful claps and smile.
Parents Orientation.
15 June 2024.
The new academic began with zeal and determination to overcome the challenges of new inning. Orientation meeting was conducted for Std V to IX on 15th June. Parents were briefed on the occasion by Principal Mrs Aditi Kulkarni. As school shall function in one shift from the upcoming academic year, with multiple new beginnings, parents had queries regarding the same. Faculty members of Fine arts, competitive exam tutors were introduced. The vocalists and art mentors demonstrated their art form and mesmerized everyone present in the auditorium. The orientation answered many questions cropped in the minds of parents.
STEM WORKSHOP
15 June 2024.
We understand that growth of a tree depends entirely on the strength of the roots. Similarly the stem too shoulders the responsibility to carry forward the growth. With the growing need of 360° development of students, setup like 'My Stem Zone ' an Activity based learning program helps to navigate syllabus in a friendly manner. STEM in detail is the combination of Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics. The learning kit provided for the activity helped to get the first hand experience. Resource personal of My Stem Zone Mrs Juhi Kotwal madam the project manager and coordinator Mr Milind Thakare Project co ordinator guided teachers with the learning kit to help acquaint students with the concept.
The STEM activity would help in strengthening the learning process by keeping the roots intact.
Samwadmala Session :Time Management Workshop for teachers
06 June 2024 : The academic year started for teachers with lessons for the most important resource in life that is Time. Time management plays an important role in life and the one who knows how to utilise 24 hours in the best possible way can improve and live life fully.
Samvadmala session was oraganised by school in collaboration with PDCC, MES. Counselors Ms. Girija Likhite and Ms. Piyusha Sawant told teachers the importance of managing time efficiently as it stands as a need of an hour.
All the teachers enjoyed this warm interactive session. Principal Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni presented formal vote of thanks. Thus teachers are well acquainted with the management of the most important element of life and that is time
Reopening of school for teachers( Formal beginning of Academic Year 2024-25).
05 June 2024 : The academic year 2024-25 is on the horizon and it is a time to enact the initiated changes of the school schedule. The entire school will be working in one large shift and everyone is eagerly waiting for the commencement of this exciting new academic year which is going to be full of different activities to enhance the knowledge of students and to ensure their all round development.
This new year began for teachers, where they understood the vision of MES and recommitted themselves for the betterment of the school and children.
The program went smoothly under the graceful presence of Mr. Vijay Bhalerao, Chairman of School Committee, Dr. Bharat Vhankate, Visitor, School Committee and the Principals of all three sections Mrs. Aditi Kulkrni, Mrs. Manjusha Durve and Mrs. Sayali Deshmukh.
Newly joined teachers were welcomed by Principals of respective sections.
Dr. Bharat Vhankate threw light on the progress of the organisation and the school. Mr. Vijay Bhalerao congratulated the staff for excellent HSC and SSC results of the school and shared a gurumantra with teachers for continuous improvement in school performance.
Mrs. Madhavi Babras impressed everyone with her graceful compering while formal vote of thanks was presented by Mrs. Sangita Joshi. The new academic year began in a joyous atmosphere.

Celebration of Maharashtra Diwas 1st May 2024.
MES BSM EMS celebrated the Maharashtra diwas, the formation day on 1st May with great honour and respect.
The Principals of Pre- primary Mrs Sayali Deshmukh, Primary Mrs Manjusha Durve and Secondary and Higher secondary Mrs Aditi Kulkarni unfurled the tricolour and paid homage to the land.
Teaching and Non- Teaching staff was present on the occasion. The assembly sung national anthem and thereafter the official song ' Jay jay Maharashtra maza...'.
The valour, the contribution and the historic significance of Maharashtra was greatly remembered.

02nd May 2024: MES BSM EMS won Swatch v Sundar Shala Award on 02nd May 2024. The school conducted different activities to keep school clean and beautiful. Straight from having rallies to awareness programs, and different competitions to campaigns. The school left no stone untouched to keep school clean and beautiful. All the efforts were paid off when the school received this award.

SAY NO TO ADDICTION !!!!!
23 April 2024 : School replicates society at a large, thus it is very common to observe the trends which are in hype in society are seen in youngsters. MES BSM EMS knows the role youngsters going to play in the development of the nation. To make students aware of the challenges they may face when they mingle with other people in the society. The school in collaboration with Rotary club, Gandhi Bhavan organized a work shop for the students of std. X and XII.
Where the ill effects of addiction were discussed with the help of presentation, short films and actual interaction with the convalescent. It helped students to understand the grave effects of these addictions on health and family.
This session was a humble effort to make students aware of the evil things happening in society. Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni , Principal, Secondary and Higher Secondary Section supported this noble cause with detailed planning and guidance.
Orientation Meeting - Std. X (Batch 2024-25)
21 April 2024 : Well planners are better finishers. This saying aptly describes the efforts of MES BSM EMS. The school knows that success is 99% perspiration and 1% inspiration. Academic Year for std. X started on 15th April 2024. It was a formal beginning of their academic year. Students started their journey of std. X.
The Orientation meeting was held on 20th April 2024 in IMCC Seminar hall. Parents were informed about the schedule of the coming academic year. Class teachers and subject teachers were introduced to them. Harmony members and Mother parents of the previous year were felicitated at the hands of Principal Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni. Election for the selection of Harmony members and Mother parents was held. Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni, Principal, Secondary Section guided the parents about course of the year and solved their doubts and queries.
The session ended with a note of contentment from parents.
Kaleidoscopic activities on Science Day
28th Feb.2024 :
MES Bal Shikshan Mandir celebrated Science Day with multiple activities. This day became special for students with their visit to IUCAA and IISER, Pune.
Students of std. VIII and IX respectively visited IISER and IUCAA. It was a great opportunity to understand upcoming concepts in the field of Science. Students remained spellbound while observing and knowing the latest developments in the fields of Science and technology. Students from std. V -VII enjoyed a movie based on science in the school.
Thus, this day presented the kaleidoscope of various activities which helped students to enhance the knowledge of science. The effort was also made to increase their interest in the field. All the activities were planned and conducted under the guidance of Principal Mrs Aditi Kulkarni. These activities received a warm response from students and parents.

म. ए.सो.बालशिक्षण मंदिर इंग्रजी माध्यम शाळेत मराठी भाषा गौरव दिवस साजरा करण्यात आला.दरवर्षी या दिवसाचे औचित्य साधून आंतरशालेय स्पर्धांचे आयोजन केले जाते.यंदाही विविध लेखन स्पर्धा विद्यार्थी व शिक्षकांसाठी आयोजित केल्या होत्या.काव्यलेखन स्पर्धा,संवादलेखन स्पर्धा आणि निबंध स्पर्धांसाठी विद्यार्थ्यांना पंधरा मिनिटे स्पर्धेपूर्वी विषय देण्यात आला व त्यांना एक तासाचा लेखन अवधी दिला होता.काव्यासाठी शाळा,स्वप्न हे विषय तर संवाद लेखनासाठी घराशी संवाद,प्रभू श्रीरामांशी संवाद , निबंधासाठी मला देव भेटला तर.,मराठी भाषेचे आयुष्यातील स्थान हे विषय देण्यात आले होते.शिक्षकांच्या संवाद लेखन स्पर्धेसाठी माझ्यातील शिक्षकाशी संवाद हा विषय दिला होता.
स्पर्धेत पुण्यातील मराठी आणि इंग्रजी माध्यमांच्या शाळांनी मोठ्या संख्येने सहभाग नोंदवला.त्याचबरोबर मराठी साहित्य,संस्कृती,लोककला यावर आधारित प्रश्नमंजुषा स्पर्धाही घेण्यात आली.या कार्यक्रमास प्रमुख पाहुण्या म्हणून ज्येष्ठ मराठी तज्ज्ञ अंजली कर्वे लाभल्या होत्या.त्यांच्या हस्ते सर्व स्पर्धांचे पारितोषिक वितरण करण्यात आले.भाषेला इंग्रजी माध्यम,मराठी माध्यम असे स्तर नसतात, म्हणूनच आम्ही मराठी भाषा दिन साजरा करताना मराठी,इंग्रजी माध्यमांच्या शाळांना एकत्रित बोलवून दरवर्षी सर्जनशील,नाविन्यपूर्ण स्पर्धा भरवतो असे मत मुख्याध्यापिका सौ.अदिती कुलकर्णी यांनी व्यक्त केले.
कार्यक्रमास सर्व सहभागी शाळांचे शिक्षक,विद्यार्थी उपस्थित होते.शाळेच्या मराठी विभागातर्फे कार्यक्रमाचे नियोजन करण्यात आले होते.
Spectacular display of Science Projects

India has always opted for developing a scientific attitude among it's citizens. Schools are considered as a replica of a society. It becomes the responsibility of each school to inculcate scientific temperament among students. MES BSM tries hard to do the same.
The school had arranged for Science Exhibition to provide an opportunity to its students to display their talent and skills.
Students from std. V - IX , displayed various science projects in school, the range started from projects based on the principles of Chemistry, Physics and Biology and it reached to the study of medieval structures of forts and other monuments and science behind it.
Principal Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni provided the guidance and support to the students. Senior scientist Dr Pradip Naik and Mr Kedar Tapikar visited the exhibition and appreciated the efforts put in by students, parents and teachers for the arrangement of the spectacular display.
Learning democracy in Model Sansad.
Deepastambha Charitable Trust is a leading NGO which works for the social cause of creating awareness about democratic practices among students across Maharashtra through its torch bearing initiative Skool Sansad. This was the 11th year of the initiative and MES Bal Shikshan Mandir plays an active role in this effort. The school participated in its Monsoon session activity and also in Winter Session activity. The winter session activity was conducted at S.M.Joshi Sabhagruha between 1st and 4th February. The team of three students from 8th and 9th std represented the school. This team got selected from the preliminary round from among 250 schools across Maharashtra. In the session Saee Dhadphale, got an opportunity to play the role of Cabinet Minister in the formed party and spoke about the need to work on the topic 'Anger Issues in Youth , her speech was appreciated by the speaker.
This way it was a wonderful method of learning about Democracy in a democratic way sitting in Model Sansad as Cabinet Minister.
Bidding adieu for rising high
05 Feb.2024 : Farewell function of Std. X, batch 2023-24 was arranged in school auditorium on 05th February 2024. You cannot build new future without moving ahead in life.
Schools are the places where students enter with crying eyes, insecure minds and leave with confident faces and a big smile. Students were felicitated at the hands of principal Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni with a folder, pen and a hall ticket. Students wore traditional attire and looked attractive.
Teachers encouraged each child with words of wisdom. Students gave words to their emotions about the school.
The program followed by a scrumptious lunch. Students enjoyed the farewell function, but deep down they knew that though they are heading to face the world this small universe belongs to them. The school is sure that this outgoing batch is going to carry BSM factor with them and emerge out with flying colours wherever they go.
BSM shines at Sakal Schoolympics 2023-24.
Sakal Schoolympics is a much awaited sports event in Pune. BSM has always been a proud part of this school event. Sakal Schoolympics 2023-24 proved to be a year of achievement for BSM champions. BSM stood among top ten rankers by acquiring tenth position from around 550 schools across Pune. BSM champs brought proud to the school.
Champions brought 73 medals in different events like archery, swimming, relay, table tennis , taekwondo, wrestling, gymnastics, athletics and many more.
Vidyavrat ceremony
Vidyavrat is an age-old tradition of initiating into Adhyayan that is disciplined learning. Our school has been conducting Vidyavrat Sanskar for the students of Std VIII since years together. The objectives of the Vidyavrat ceremony are mainly to inculcate the values of patriotism, obedience, good health and sound mind among students.
This year the ceremony took place on 7th January 2023 for both the shits.
The consecration and the rituals associated with it were performed by the students and their parents as they were guided by their Adhwaryu. The recitation of shloka and bhajans was practised with great energy and enthusiasm under the able guidance of music teacher (also school coordinator) Mrs Sneha Pethkar.
While performing the rituals the students were also told the meaning of them. This practice surely helps them mould their character from within. A havan was performed and the lockets were presented to the students as a ' blessing' to them.
On the occasion Dr Ajit Kanitkar and Pt. Atulkumar Upadhyay were present to motivate students through their words of wisdom.
Vidyavrat ceremony was a memorable occasion in the school, carried out in holy and devine atmosphere, in the presence of students, their parents, teachers and Principal and other dignitaries.
Skool Sansad - Preliminary Round
18th December 2023: BSM participates in every activity which supports democracy and helps students to understand it better. One such effort is school Skool Sansad Winter Session 2033, in collaboration with Deepastambha Charitable Trust. This trust organises Skool Sansad Winter Session where students have to select one of the topics, out of many which are suggested by DCT.
A team of three students is expected to get selected for Skool Sansad Winter Session . Accordingly the selected selected chose the topic 'Revitalisation of Indian tourism'. They not only selected the topic but carried out research and prepared a speech telling in detail about the scope of tourism in India and areas where we can improve as a country and also added how tourism supports economy. 360 degree approach to the problem was expected.
Around 250 schools across Maharashtra participated in Skool Sansad Winter Session Preliminary Round, out of which 50 schools were selected for Skool Sansad Winter Session final round.BSM feels proud to be one to get selected for its final round.Saee Dhadphale, Mrudula Jambhekar and Saumitra pandit participated as PM and CMs respectively. Mrs Priya Laddha and Mrs Amruta Joshi supported students in the research. School Principal Mrs Aditi Kulkarni motivated and guided students for an effective presentation . Activity was conducted on 17th December 2023 in MIT school.
Exploring Science@Krishi Vidnyan Kendra
30/12/23: Study tour of BSM students was organised to Narayangaon Krishi Vidnyan Kendra by ATL INNOVATION MISSION, New Delhi & KVK , Agricultural dept, New Delhi ..executed by Haveli KVK unit .
It was a good opportunity for students to explore advanced technologies in Agricultural field and to understand role of Krishi Vidnyan Kendra in Agriculture.
Excellent guidance was provided by Head of KVK , Narayangaon.KVK , Pune had organized this study tour for 5 schools in Pune. Team BSM was among those selected five schools to get this opportunity.
Great inputs about
- importance of Indian Cows, Panchmahabhutas, Indian traditional systems , Modern technologies to help farmers to increase crop yield with quality were given to students.
Polishing diamonds for better shining: Expert guidance for SSC students.
Board exams are considered to be a stepping stone in any student's life who dreams to walk on the path of higher education. The preparation of board exams gets in pace after completion of portion in school. The schools also start preparing their students to provide all the necessary guidance to help them in their important phase.
MES BSM EMS takes afforts for 360 degree development of its students and academics is one of its important dimension. The school arranged for expert lecture series for the students of std. X (Batch 2023-24) all across MES schools. The experts in different subjects provided their able guidance and tried to give insights about their subjects. Students were told about small and big techniques of paper writing.
The series of guest lectures will definitely help students in solving their papers confidently.
This lecture series took place in MES auditorium with provision for online presence of students from other MES schools. It was conducted between 15 December to 22 December 2023 , giving enough time for students to work on the ideas and views which were expressed.
It was a perfect time when the students actually have started preparing for the exam.
It was a humble effort from MES and BSM school of providing a finishing to diamonds to enable them to shine better.

15th December 2023: BSM truly believes in the same. MES Bal Shikshan Mandir participated in an activity which was scheduled for Punekars. It was all for inspiring everyone to read at least one hour a day. 'Shantata Punekar vachat aahet' was an initiative taken by Maharashtra state Government, Education Ministry Central Government, Pune Municipal Corporation and Savitribai Phule Pune University.
Students were given one hour to read story books, newspapers and anything which they found interesting. They were supposed to utilise the time only and only for reading. Teachers supported each student by helping and guiding them to read more and more. Along with students, teachers and everyone in the school participated in the activity. School Principal Mrs Aditi Kulkarni motivated teachers and students for this activity and also suggested that students should visit 'Pustak Mahotsav' which was going to be arranged between 16th December to 24 December 2023. This was in a way a humble effort the Government to restore reading culture among citizens. Understanding the need of reading BSM lent its support by letting children understand the importance of reading in life. Students enjoyed this activity very much.
Field trips 2023-24.
Field trips give opportunity to explore, observe, to shake hands with nature and to go beyond the textual knowledge. And thus they are planned every year.
Students and teachers look forward to make this day fruitful. Field Trip destinations are decided keeping in mind the first hand knowledge children will experience in excursions. Such trips are educational and purposeful. Knowledge gained through such experience is long lasting.
This year Std V to Std X paid visit to different places that served the purpose.
1. Std V - Theur Ganapati, Textile and Jaggery making factory at Ramdara.
2. Std VI - Turmeric processing unit at Mahabaleshwar and Nana Phadnavis wada, Wai
3. Std VII - Pratap gad
4. Std VIII - Shivneri gad
5. Std IX - Nighoj and Ralegan siddhi
6. Std X- Baramati Agro1, Nandan dairy and sugar factory.
