⚗️ Science Day Celebration 🧪
National Science Day is celebrated in India on 28th February each year to mark the discovery of the Raman effect by Indian physicist Sir C. V. Raman in 1928.
It is important to inculcate the spirit of science among the students. Since SSC board examination has been scheduled on this day and our school is the cetre for the same, the Science Exhibition had been organized on Monday, 27th February 2023, in MES BSM EMS.
Students from all classes, from Std. V to Std. IX had participated in the exhibition. There were charts, working models, projects, and apps to give a platform to the innovative ideas of the students.
Dr. Prashant Dhakephalkar, the renowned scientist and the Director of Agarkar Research Institute, Pune was the chief guest of the programme. Mr. Mukund Deshpande, MD, JVD Mettle Innovations Pvt. Ltd. was the guest of honour to grace the occasion along with Dr. Dattatray Naik, Retired scientist from Agarkar Research institute, now guiding MES in ATL activities. It was a unique BSM way to inaugurate the Science Exhibition by using invisible ink and by lightning Lava lamp .
Also Mr. Sachin Lokhande, Deputy Education Officer, ZP Pune (Secondary Section) and the eminent Scientist Mr. Manohar Joshi, retired from Dr. Bhabha Research Centre witnessed the day. Architect Rajeevji Sahasrabuddhe, the Chairman of Maharashtra Education Society and Dr. Bharat Vhankate, Secretary, Maharashtra Education Society and Visitor, MES BSM EMS also graced the event and appreciated the efforts of the students. The event was a grand success under the able guidance of Principal Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni.
Farewell Std. X : Sending Off for better future...
A Formal send-off party had been arranged by school on 06 January to bid adieu to std. X batch (2022-23). The school kept no stone unturned for making this send-off special for students. Principal Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni addressed the students. She gave valuable message to students, saying though they believe in smart work, there is no option to hard work. She also wished them the best future and assured that school will always wait for their arrival.
The programe had everything in it straight from best wishes of their beloved teachers to a presentation of a beautiful journey through their tenure in school. This journey reminded them all the lovely moments and activities which shaped them for today in the span of around ten years in the school. The teachers spoke about their students and tried to boost their confidence for the exam. Students gave way to their feelings about school and teachers through words.
This beautiful program was followed by a tasty lunch. The program ended by creating everlasting memories in young BSMians.
Face to face with Scientist
14 February 2023.
Face to face with a scientist is an initiative which is scheduled under Science Club of the school. The objective behind this activity is to make students realise the fun of learning Science. It also gives them experience to have a word with established scientists and know more about their area and field of research. School tries to make students curious about the field of Science and motivate them to think logically to apply science in their day to day life.
Dr. Smita Kale, is working as a Manager at Bioincubation at Venture Center Pune, got rendezvous with students and had a good session where delivery of knowledge and kindling the thought of becoming a Scientist went hand in hand. She further added the key factors needed to built a successful carrier especially in the field of Science and technology.
The session ended with fruitful discussion in the form of question and answers. The next session for the day was conducted by Dr. Aarti Swami who is a working faculty in MIT World Peace University, School of Pharmacy made her time available to guide students. She told different fantastic facts and things related to Science in general and Pharmacy in particular. Students ranging from std. V – IX, enjoyed this interactive session thoroughly.
'Aware Parents, Healthy Children'
13 and 14 February 2023.
A health checkup for the students of std V to IX was organized in the school by Municipal Corporation under the campaign 'Aware Parents, Healthy Children'.
The objective behind organizing the campaign was to have a comprehensive health checkup and treatment for children between the age group of 0 to 18 years.
Eye check up camp
Deshpande Eye care hospital had held two days eye check up camp for students and teachers. The ophthalmologist did a thorough checkup using modern machines and tools.

ATL Community Day 2023
ATL Community Day was celebrated in Atal Tinkering Lab of our school on 27th February, 2023 between 11.30 am to 3.30 pm. Community Day is celebrated to extend the frontiers of learning and knowledge beyond our school. Staying true to the ideologies of Shri B. R. Ambedkar, the ATL had around 25 students from non-ATL and underprivileged schools like Swaroop Vardhini. Various activities like making of simple electronic circuits, solar lamp assembling and design thinking were conducted. The focus of the activities was on imbibing “Do-it-yourself”, “Team work” and “Innovation for All”. The students enjoyed the activities and a sumptuous lunch arranged specially for them. They were awarded participation certificates and goodies.
Handwriting competition and Calligraphy session.
Hand writing plays a key role in shaping one's character. Since the pandemic is over we teachers at MES eBSM are trying to motivate students to write better and read better. Handwriting competition boosts the act of presenting in a better way.
On the occasion of Children's day on 14 November 2022 the Handwriting competition was conducted.Keeping importance of the subject a session to improve handwriting was organized on 23rd January. A Calligraphy expert Mr. Shantanu Sant guided students about how to work on legibility and presentation.
Through demonstration students got connected with the topic in a lucid way.

Yuva Chetna Din : An Opportunity to Express Well
12th Jan 2023 : National Youth Day is celebrated on 12 January and is also known as Rashtriya Yuva Diwas. The day is observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda one of the greatest philosophers and spiritual leaders. A school is an ideal place to mould youngsters into sensitive citizens who express their ideas with great profundity
Elocution competition was held in school on the occasion of Yuva Chetna Din in association Ekal foundation. Students from std. VII - IX participated in it. Students were given topics related to Swami Vivekanand's dream India. Choice of language was given to students for better expression. The young talent grabbed this opportunity to express their thoughts related to Swami Vivekanand in very impressive way.
Dr. Ashok Laddha of Ekal foundation presided over the function and was impressed with the skills of student orators.

MIND IN TRAINING FOR RIGHT AWARENESS
10 January 2023.
Pune Vipassana Samiti had conducted Aanapan ( meditation)session for students.
Arch.Kanchan Gajeshwar was the resource person and helped students understand the first step towards meditation. Through an audio mode students followed instructions to have self control over emotions and have a stress free state of mind during exam
The session was helpful to handle the obstacle in daily walk of life.
Shifting and Inauguration of New Atal Tinkering Lab
The MES BSM’s Atal Tinkering Lab is shifted to the second floor of new building as per the directions of our parent institution Maharashtra Education Society. The area of the new lab is approximately 1500 sq. ft. The inauguration was done at the hands of Air Marshal Bhushanji Gokhale on 4th January, 2023. As per our Indian tradition, a small veneration was performed. Among the invited were Parent Harmony members, Teachers from all sections, MES members and their families and many more. The auspicious occasion was graced by the special presence of Dr Yashwant Waghmare, Shri Pradip Naik.
ATL Codeavour 2022
The ATL Codeavour 5.0 International is the biggest AI and Coding Competition for students supported by Atal Innovation Mission. Around 90 students from 5th to 12th std from our school registered for this challenge. Daily sessions about machine learning, coding, AI, Python programing, doubt solving and much more were arranged online. It was a 3-months free online course which helped students to learn or upgrade their programming skills. Themes were given and students were trained to make projects using their acquired programming skills.
ATL Bootcamp 2022
A six-week ATL Entrepreneurship Bootcamp was organized for a few selected winning teams from ATL Marathon 2022. BSM’s Li-Fi Team of 3 students from 9th std- Soham Vaidya, Shounak Kulkarni and Tanish Dhapare were selected for the bootcamp that was held in MIT ADT Atal Incubation Centre, Loni Kalbhor, Pune. It was a 4-weeks online and 2-weeks offline training in Nov-Dec 2022. The students were given an opportunity to interact with industry experts. They were trained about company formation, transform prototype into commercially viable product and also taken for industrial visits.
Teacher’s Training Workshop
ATL Teacher’s Training Workshop was conducted for all BSM teachers of various sections from primary to higher secondary on 17th December, 2022 between 11.30 am and 2.30 pm in MES BSM Atal Tinkering Lab. Teachers were enlightened about what ATL is, what and how it can be used for teaching-learning, what activities can be conducted, how to help students in design and innovation, how to help students develop creative and logical thinking and much more. Teachers were given hands-on-experience with electronic circuit making activity. They also learnt basics of soldering and performed practically during solar lamp activity. A simple design thinking activity was also conducted which demonstrated how ATL concepts can be used in teaching of any subject. All these activities were ATL Teachers Team- Ms Mrunmayee Shinde, Mrs Snehal Joshi and Mrs Sheela Bankar under the able guidance of honorable Principal, Mrs Aditi Kulkarni.
ATL MARATHON 2022
ATL Marathon is AIM’s annual national innovation challenge where school’s identify community problems of their choice and develop innovative solutions in the form of working prototypes. More than 50 teams from std 6th to 10th from our school participated in ATL Marathon 2022. Four teams secured place in the Top 350 teams. The winning teams were awarded certificates.
Vidyavrat: A spiritual experience
MES Bal Shikshan Mandir EMS has been conducting Vidyavrat every year for the students of Std. VIII. This year too, it had been organized on 29th and 30th November 2022 for The ceremony is similar to Vratbandh or Upnayan.
In the world of technology, children have become lethargic and are forgetting basic values of humanity. This consecration helps them to regain the virtues and find the goal of their life. All the students of Std. VIII recited Sanskrit verses and abhang. They were accompanied by their parents on this occasion. The chief guest who graced the occasion were well-known writer and editor Mr. Rajeev Tambe and Mr. Mohan Shete from New English School , a scholar in History and Marathi and an inspiring orator. They explained values of honesty and patriotism and importance of knowledge in enlightening life.
MES Bhondla : celebrating Navaratri in a traditional way.
04th October 2022:
Maharashtra Education Society takes pride in preserving culture and keeping traditions alive. Every initiative taken by MES remains thoughtful and receives enthusiastic response from its schools. BSM always comes up with innovative ideas to makestudents aware of its rich culture and heritage.
Students are enjoying real time in school post pandemic. Team BSM took decision to celebrate nine shades of Navaratri by performing Bhondla each day for one standard. Students could wear civil dress on the day of Bhondla. It was scheduled during school time so it was quite convenient for parents and students to attend and enjoy it.
The celebration started on 27 th September with younger ones of Secondary Section that with std.V. It eventually went ahead with different standards every day with guests from parents. Guests invited were among parents, those who are providing their services in the fields of engineering, medicine and so on.
School also took opportunity to strengthen its bonds with its service providers so straight from Mavshis, peons to various service providers were felicitated. It was a small attempt of showing gratitude to each factor of society and everyone who helps in smooth functioning of school schedule. Students understood importance of various values through this gentle gesture.
Everyday students enjoyed Bhondla by traditionally making circle around the elephant and singing traditional songs. Some students also sang glory of Goddess Durga and Saraswati. Then it would be followed by the guidance from the distinguished guests. At the end, students had to try identifying the snacks (traditionally known as 'Khirapat') which was arranged by the school. Students from all the classes enjoyed the programme and the snacks.
Thus , MES Bhondla became one more successful event which created positive vibes in the school and the students.
Felicitation of shining stars at BSM
30th September 2022
A wonderful Programme of felicitation was conducted in MES Auditorium. The auditorium was full of excited students and proud parents. The programme started at 10 o'clock in the morning and lasted for two hours.
Every bit of the programme was enjoyed by everyone present in the auditorium. The programme began with Saraswati pujan at the hands of Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni, Principal (Secondary and Higher Secondary Section) and Chief guest Mr.Anand Kulkarni sir (Chairman- School Committee) who were accompanied by other guests of honour. Ignition of lamp created holy atmosphere, which later was continued by recitation of Lalitha panchakam by a little girl from std.VI.
This beautiful atmosphere was later filled with energy and excitement as Ex - Principals and teachers of BSM were felicitated at the hands of Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni madam. It was a small get-together of BSM family.
MES tries to preserve culture and BSM tries to blend science and culture to bring best out of its students. Being English Medium school , students show all round progress and also can use various languages fluently, it was proved by a rhythmic recitation of Durga stotra. A small glimpse of tradition was shown by MES Bhondla which was presented by tiny tots of the school that is girls from std. V. It was a wonderful gesture from school to display it's adherence to tradition and culture. Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni madam congratulated students on their result and wished them a bright future by sharing a gurumantra with them that 'Smart work should always follow hard work'. The audience was guided to register for maa (MES Alumni Association).
The programme of felicitation brought all smiles on the faces of eager students and parents. The result at glance shown through power point impressed the audience. The stars of started showing down on the stage one by one as their names alongwith their achievements were called and the auditorium was filled with all the cheers. The felicitation programme of 2019-20 could not happen due to pandemic but BSM made sure that students will receive a pat of appreciation, thus this year felicitation of both years took place. The felicitation of the 2021-22 , started with great applaud from parents and a cheers from friends of the young achievers. The young achievers were felicitated at the hands of Mr. Anand Kulkarni, Aditi Kulkarni madam,Karve madam, Pradhan madam, Naik madam , Mira madam, Sevak madam, Vidya Godbole madam and Ila Walimbe madam respectively according to their seniority in the school.
The Chief guest Mr.Anand Kulkarni, shared words of wisdom with students. Karve madam motivated students to do good in their lives by inspiring words and a beautiful story . Mrs. Vidya Godbole madam and Mrs. Surabhi Bhagwat madam threw light on their association with school and congratulated achievers. A beautiful bridge if events was created by lucid compering of Mrs.Madhavi Babras and Mrs. Kiran Shahane. This most awaited programme ended with vote of thanks and Vande Mataram.
Hindi Diwas samaroh
Every year Hindi Diwas is celebrated at MES BSM EMS to mark the importance of Hindi as a national language.
Different activities are planned every year for the students. This year instead of Hindi Diwas ,Hindi Saptah was celebrated from 12th September to 16th September, 2022 . Students of std V,VI and VII presented famous Hindi poems .
According to NEP multilingualism was implemented by active participation of other subject teachers. All the students enthusiastically participated and enjoyed the game of translation of words from different subjects into Hindi and the cherry on the cake was a melodious performance by std VI students . The programme ended well on the musical notes of ,'Hindi Bhasha , Rashtra ki Bhasha ........'
It was thoroughly enjoyed by all the children from std V to X in BSM auditorium on 14 th September,2022.
Lecture on adolescence.
( 13 and 14 September 2022).
Growing ages of girls and boys are surrounded by many defined and strange situations.
They need a platform and a thread to connect their mindset with concrete solutions to their curiosity about puberty.
Considering this need, guest lecture for boys and girls was arranged on 13 and 14 September at eBSM.
Psychologist Mr. Atul Pawar and Mrs Shilpa Toro briefed students about sensitive areas of pubartal changes, physical, psychological, social and emotional changes, reproductive system and many other topics which are untouched but required to be discussed.
The lecture cleared many doubts that popped into the head of students.
Celebration of fitness on National Sports Day...
29th August 2022 : The National Sports Day of India was celebrated in MES Bal Shikshan Mandir English Medium school in Tribute to the legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand. The students were told about the importance of ‘Sports’ and the relevance of National Sports Day during the Assembly.
The day marks the birth anniversary of hockey wizard, Major Dhyan Chand. He was born on 29th August, 1905 at Allahbad. In the year 1926, he was selected for the Indian Hockey Team for the tour of New Zealand & won many medals for our country.
On this occasion, all the students from V to X participated in various sports activities with great enthusiasm and zeal. The little ones had fun while indulging in different activities like passing in the ring, obstacle relay , dribbling ball and modified hockey relay while the grooming youth enjoyed mass athletics activities and standing kho-kho . Children learnt a lot about true sportsmanship and the value of playing games.
This day was also marked as a HBDay which is a unique concept administered in school, where students are supposed to keep school bags at home and enjoy learning various values and concepts through different activities. Students enjoyed different sports activities on ground as well as various indoor activities were planned by their teachers to make their day joyful.
Students were seen playing with true team spirit and the celebration of National Sports Day echoed in the corridors, fields and in classrooms too.
BSM maintains ISO standards
27 Aug 2022 , MES Bal Shikshan Mandir is one of the leading ISO certified school and takes pride in maintaining its standards. A training session in a wake of recertification of ISO 9001:2015 had been arranged for the staff of BSM in the seminar hall of IMCC on Saturday. This training was initiated to revise the norms and other important requirements of ISO and helping staff to drive this quality process smoothly.
Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni, Principal (Secondary and Higher Secondary Section) introduced the trainer Mr. Amol Kulkarni who is a working ISO consultant and a mentor for school from 7 years in the process.
Mr.Amol Kulkarni explained about ISO certification in its nitty gritty. The training covered the meaning of ISO, information about the organisation, it's scope , benefits of being ISO recognised institution, requirements for ISO 9001:2015 certification, Quality Management System , application of various processes for standardization and PDCA cycle. Various aspects related to ISO certification were discussed in detail. Teachers were eager to comply with all conditions and asked many doubts to Mr. Kulkarni. Mr. Kulkarni solved all queries and doubts very patiently and with suitable examples.
Principals of Pre-primary, primary, secondary and higher secondary sections along with their staff attended this training. The training started at 8.30 am and continued till 10.30 am. The training ended with a formal vote of thanks rendered by Mrs. Rahee Bhalerao.
The training received a warm response from teachers.
Recitation of National anthem.

( An initiative by the State Government of Maharashtra)
The state government of Maharashtra had made an appeal to the citizens of Maharashtra to assemble in public for the recital of national anthem as a tribute to celebrate Aazadi ka Amrutmohatsav.
Students, teaching and non teaching staff and parents stood together for the national anthem and paid their homage.
Fervour and Velour of tricolor
The 76th Independence Day was celebrated with gaiety and gladness at MES eBSM school campus.
The thought of "Freedom in the mind, faith in the heart and pride in the soul" was seen in the celebration.
Commander Manoj Kulkarni was the chief guest for the occasion.
He hoisted the tricolor and the programme began with national anthem.
N.C.C. students demonstrated the march past in a disciplinary style. Students from primary school presented soliloquy and showed the glimpses of great freedom fighters who remained unnoticed in the pages of history.
The pre- primary teachers sang a famous marathi patriotic song "वेडात मराठे वीर दौडले सात"
The performances left the audience spellbound and nostalgic.
Command Manoj Kulkarni addressed students and ignited their minds to remember Nation first while shaping the career.
Passed out students of the school added frill to the celebration.
The programme ended with national song vandemataram ( sampurna).

Vibrant hues of patriotism...
' Har Ghar Tiranga'
The Tri-colour flag is a symbol of patriotism for every Indian. It represents national integrity and enlightens the spirit of brotherhood.
The central government had announced to celebrate Aazadi ka Amrutmahotsav by observing Har Ghar Tiranga campaign across the country.MES eBSM contributed to the drive by conducting multiple activities associated with students and their focus towards nation building. Students made tricolor badges to be worn every day till 15th August. Through mehendi and tattoo making competition the school paid tribute to the 76th independence day.
On the death anniversary of Lokmanya Tilak on 2nd August students participated in elocution competition and unfolded the unknown stories of the Father of Unrest. Students used their aesthetic sense to decorate the walls with the pictures of velour and tricolor. Students from Std. VIII to X put their thoughts on patriotism through essay writing.
Mrs. Sumedha Chidhade (who initiated the installation of oxygen plant for the Siachin battle field) had been invited to guide children to join the armed forces and progress in life with the motto of Nation first.Whole school recited the National anthem with full zeal and enthusiasm. Every day during the assembly time teachers told students about the significance of the day with respect to the patriotism. Students enjoyed the drive and took sincere efforts to make it successful.
Celebration of Sanskrit Day 2022
12th August 2022 : Sanskrit is considered to be God's own language and all the Vedas and ancient Indian literature has been produced in this divine language. MES Bal Shikshan Mandir celebrates Sankrit Day every year with different activities. This year it was decided that celebration of Sanskrit Day will not remain restricted to higher classes but the efforts were made to encourage participation from lower classes too.
Students were told to learn अष्टक and पञ्चक स्तोत्र which are famous in sanskrit literature.
The ancient treatise is a guide to an individual to overcome challenges in life. Loud and clear recitation of Stotras help in making mind fertile and the tongue agile!
Students were given unique opportunity to get acquainted with Stotra literature on this occasion.
Shades of Mehendi and rainbow of happiness.....
03th Aug.2022 : A mehendi and tattoo making competition was arranged in School on the occasion of Nagpanchami. A theme for this competition was ' 75 years of Independence '. Girls drew beautiful mehendi using the given theme on their palms. Boys showed their creativity by drawing creative tattoo designs on drawing paper.
The competition got overwhelming response from students.
This way Mehendi and Tattoo making competition brought a colour of joy on the faces of students.
Kargil Vijay Diwas
MES Bal Shikshan Mandir EMS paid a humble tribute to nation on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26th July 2022.
This was a unique way to express gratitude towards nation since all the students were a part of this event.
Students of Std. V, VI and VII were shown a short movie to introduce them to the unparallel sacrifices of the Indian soldiers. This was one of the ways to commemorate the great freedom fighters of our country.
Std. VII to Std. X were introduced to another aspect of patriotism. An encouraging speech had been organized for them.
Mrs. Sumedha Chithade, a proud teacher, a philanthropist, wife of an ex-airman and proud mother of an army man, was the key-note speaker on this occasion. She has donated an oxygen generation plant at Siyachen which is the highest and deadliest battlefield in the world and also at Army Hospital of Kupwara district in Jammu and Kashmir. She shared her experiences regarding the work of Indian army and their struggle at the border with the students and encouraged them to think of nation before self.
26th July 2022: On 26th of July 2022 Rotary Club of Pune Gandhi Bhavan had arranged a program which was presided by President Rotarian Padmaja Joshi and Secretary Rotarian Ashwini Shiledar in which head girl of Morning Shift Isha Harshe, Head boy of Morning Shift Nirmay Shinde, head girl of Afternoon Shift Anuja Sahasrabudhe and head boy of Afternoon Shift Sushrut Kulkarni from Bal Shikshan Mandir English Medium School were invited. The time period of the program was from 7:30 pm to 9pm.They had taken 'Leadership' as quality for the month of July at Rotary Club. So they invited all the young leaders to express and present their views on the topic leadership.
It was a great experience for them to have an informal interview about the quality which is imbibed in them. A member of the Rotary Club who was comparing the interview, herself a distinguished teacher, had meticulously crafted the questions which helped to put the participants to comfort and encouraged them to throw light on various qualities a leader should possess. During the discussion various qualities like Confidence, Responsibility, Self-Development to become a role model, Team development to carry and adjust with everyone, Assist the juniors in their problems, Awareness, Self-discipline, Positive approach, to motivate and to inspire, Open- mindedness, Respect towards elders and teachers were talked about.
All the participants were presented with certificate as a token of appreciation. The program concluded with parents appreciating the initiative taken by Rotary Club Pune Gandhi Bhavan and supported by MES Bal Shikshan Mandir English Medium School.
🎼 Abhang and Bhajan Singing Competition 🎼
Abhang and Bhajan Singing Competition had been organized for students on Monday, 18th July 2022 on the occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi and Guru Pornima.
There were two groups of participants.
1) Abhang by Junior group (Std. V, VI and VII)
2) Bhajan by Senior group (Std. VIII, IX and X)
90 students representing their house had participated in the competition. Time limit for each house was 5 to 10 minutes. All songs were full of devotion and had divine note.
Mr. Uday Deshpande the renowned Film and Music Director and Mrs. Shruti Deshpande, the classical vocalist of Kirana Gharana and grand-daughter-in-law of Pandit Sawai Gandharva were the honorable judges to grace the occasion.
Uranus House (Vitthal avadi prem bhavo) form Junior group and Neptune House (He raam) from Senior group bagged the first prize in the competition.
The conception of the event, its execution and the overall management by the most experienced Music teacher Mrs. Sneha Pethkar and Principal Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni were the backbone of the successful event.
Oath Taking Ceremony
The investiture ceremony for the newly elected Head Boy, Head Girl and Vice Prefects of MES Bal Shikshan Mandir EMS was held on 30th June 2022 in the school campus. The event signifies the reliance and confidence that the school consigns in the newly invested office bearers. It was a proud moment when the Principal Mrs. Geetanjali Bodhankar and Asst. Headmistress Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni honoured the young office bearers by pinning badges on them. She appreciated their social skills and encouraged them to be dutiful and responsible.

Anuja Sahastrabuddhe for Afternoon shift
and Head Boy Nirmay Shinde for Morning shift
and Sushrut Kulkarni for Afternoon shift respectively.

Yoga: A blissful journey of healing mind and body
Yoga is an ancient physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in
India. Its the cognition of internal strength and external power. The word ‘Yog’ derives from Sanskrit and means to join or to unite, symbolizing the union of body and consciousness. Today it is practiced in various forms around the world and continuous to grow in popularity. The ‘Day’ aims to raise awareness worldwide of many benefits of practising Yoga.
At MES eBSM also International Yoga Day was ‘exercised’ with great enthusiasm. Children and teachers from Std. V to X experienced the divine power of ‘Yog’.
Students assembled on the ground with their mats and performed various ‘Asanas’ under the supervision of P.E trainers Minakshi Patil and Rajkumar Shirke.Starting with simple asanas and going to difficult was enjoyed by everyone. From ‘Omkar’ to ‘Shavasan’ children demonstrated all asanas well. Around 800 students, teaching and non teaching staff were present on the occasion. Children promised to perform Yoga in their daily routine to get cognizant with mind and soul.
Principal Mrs Geetanjali Bodhankar gave her valuable guidance to make the day successful.
