The 77th Republic Day was celebrated at MES Bal Shikshan Mandir EMS with immense patriotic fervor and joy. The entire campus was adorned in the vibrant hues of the tricolour, radiating the spirit of unity and nationalism.
The programme was graced by Wing Commander Vaishnavi Tokekar, who honoured the event as the Chief Guest. Distinguished dignitaries including Mr. Vijay Bhalerao, Chairman of the School Committee, Dr. Santosh Deshpande, Director of MES IMCC, Dr. Ravindra Vaidya, Principal of MES Senior College, along with the principals of all three sections, added prestige to the celebration with their presence.
The Chief Guest unfurled the national flag, followed by a heartfelt salute and the collective rendition of the National Anthem by Ghoshpathak. Students of Std. IX presented a disciplined and impressive March Past, while other sections showcased rhythmic displays such as dance and dumbbell exercises. The ceremony also witnessed the announcement of Excellence Awards and sports awards, recognizing the achievements and talents of students. Wing Commander Tokekar inspired the gathering with her words of wisdom, urging students to embrace responsibility and contribute meaningfully as citizens of the nation. Adding to the grandeur, the day also featured the much-awaited Alumni Meet at Mehendale Hall.
The celebration was a success under the thoughtful guidance of Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni, Principal of the Secondary Section. The programme concluded on a high note with the soulful rendition of Vande Mataram.
Expert Guidance Sessions for SSC Students.
The school organises an expert guidance session series for its SSC students every year. The school tries to help its students to achieve the best results in their endeavours, arranging expert guidance is one of the efforts to equip students with small and big tricks and techniques to manage time and to build a good score in their exam.
Experts in different subjects helped students in getting deeper understanding and better academic planning for each subject.
This series was arranged between 1st December and 16th December 2025. Students gained a lot of confidence about their upcoming exam since they now can plan better and execute their plans properly. Students expressed their gratitude towards the school for arranging this series for them.
Unfolding the Wonders of Physics: A Face-to-Face Session with a Scientist.
A face-to-face session with a scientist was organised for the students of standard VIII and IX at MES Bal Shikshan Mandir English Medium School on 15 December 2025. The topic of the session was “Practical Physics.” The speaker for the session was Dr. Saurabh Dube. Dr. Dube is an alumnus of BSM and has completed his B.Sc . and Ph.D. from the State University of New Jersey. Currently, he is working as a professor at IISER, Pune. The session began with interactive questions such as “What is science?” and “What is research?” posed by the speaker. Students were then introduced to various scientific experiments, including the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) proton collision experiment, which is conducted to study the internal structure of atoms. Dr. Dube also explained experiments like Rutherford’s scattering experiment, elaborating them with simple examples from the students’ surroundings, which made the concepts easy to understand.
Towards the end of the session, Dr. Dube, one of the contributors to the discovery of the Higgs Boson, answered all the doubts raised by the students in an insightful and engaging manner. The session proved to be an eye-opener for the students and was well received by the teachers present as well.

BSMians enjoy field trips.
December is a cool month with delightful atmosphere which is suitable to explore new places, and learn new things by providing hands on experience to them. The School made this enthralling opportunity available to it's students. The field trips were arranged for its students from 09th December 2025 by school.
Students from std. V to X visited different venues according to their need of learning and grabbing experience.
Std. X had a cheesilicious treat, where in std. IX explored jaggery making and textile factory, std. VIII relaxed in nature's lap and std. VI explored gram sanskriti, young tots enjoyed a rustic life at Morachi Chincholi and std. VII has plans to explore Darekar wada.
Thus BSMians enjoyed the warmth of field trips which provided indirect learning experience to them. All the field trips were keenly planned under the guidance of school principal Mrs Aditi Kulkarni.
Elocution, Story Telling and Essay Writing Competition
Elocution, Story Telling and Essay Writing Competition organised by Rotary Club of Pune University had been arranged in the school in 05th December 2025 for its students.
The competition received warm response from the students. Students from std. V to IX participated in it. Their performance was impressive. Mrs Rewa Deshpande worked as a Judge for the Elocution/Story Telling competition. President, Rotary Club of Pune University Mr Vishal Kullkarni, Rotarian Kshama Gangoli, Service Project Director RCPU, Renuka Madiwale, Youth Project Director and Ravindra Bendre, Youth Project Committee Chairperson attended the competition and wished students for their better performance. School AHM Mrs Bhagyashree Dhamale welcomed the guests on behalf of the school. The entire competition was conducted under the guidance of school principal Mrs Aditi Kulkarni. Students enjoyed the competition thoroughly.
Annual Social Gathering at BSM
A spectacular display of art, music, drama and dance was arranged at BSM Auditorium on 27th and 28th November and the occasion was Annual Social Gathering of the academic year 2025-26. Every standard was given a theme to pursue and all the themes were well connected with the annual theme of the school 'Incredible India'.
Straight from young tots to the dynamic youngsters kept on thinking about their performances and the atmosphere of the school became vibrant.
The School committee chairman Mr. Vijay Bhalerao, Visitor Dr. Neha Deshpande, School Committe Member Mr. Ajay Purohit graced the program with their presence. Mrs. Sneha Petkar (retd) was the chief guest for this occasion under whose guidance gathering used to be organised all these years. It was a celebration of India and the colourful, youthful and vibrant Indian culture.
Both the days were fun-filled and packed with lot many energetic dances, thoughtful skits, delightful dialogues, melodious music and amazing arts.Everyone was stunned by the mesmerizing performances of the students.
All the teachers, volunteer parents, Alumni and students whole heartedly participated and their hard work paid off.

The RYLA programme - Rotary Youth Leadership Awards.
It is an intensive leadership training experience for young people, typically between the ages of 14 and 30, organized by Rotary club.
The programme was conducted in BSM on 27th November 2025, it focused on leadership, citizenship, and personal growth through activities like presentations, workshops, and practical exercises. Participants are expected to develop skills in communication, problem-solving, and teamwork while learning from community leaders and their peers. The programme started at 8.00 am, students from std. IX participated in the program enthusiastically.
Insightful guidance was provided to students by experts in the field. Formal welcome and felicitation were extended to Rotarians by the school visitor Dr Neha Deshpande. Rtn. Sudarshan Natu told students the importance of small actions and their big impact. He also narrated the power of leadership. Ann Shweta Karandikar made the program interesting by conducting group activity and quiz.
The program progressed with Rtn Mrudula Ghodake's views about different carrier opportunities.
Rtn Aanand Kulkarni briefed students about success and strategies. The entire program was well planned and executed under the guidance of school principal Mrs Aditi Kulkarni.
Constitution @75
The school celebrated the 75th Constitution Day on 26th November 2025. The head boy of the school Avneesh Kulkarni told the importance and the necessity of the constitution and also talked about the unique features of it. Preamble is considered as a key to the constitution. Understanding the importance of it the program further continued with the collective reading of the Preamble by V, VI, VII std students.

Awareness about the Constitution: Constitution @75
21st November 2025: The Indian constitution is the lengthiest constitution in the world. It is a blend of rigidity and flexibility at the same time. India is celebrating the Constitution's 75th year.
On the occasion the school had arranged a lecture creating awareness about it for the teenage students of Std. IX. Mrs Asha Khedekar and Mr Arun Bhamare from Anulom had specially visited the school to discuss the unique features of the Constitution.
Say cheese at the Cheese Factory!
The students of Std. X A/B/C/D visited Govardhan Cheese Factory, Manchar as a part of their educational tour on 20th and 21st November 2025.
The process of cheese making was explained by Mr. Kotnis. The stages of pasteurizing milk, curdling, pressing, and aging were observed by the students. The hygienic conditions and modern machinery impressed everyone greatly. Workers demonstrated how different varieties of cheese are prepared, and the samples of various dairy products were gifted to all the students.
The visit gave them practical knowledge beyond textbooks and highlighted the importance of cleanliness and precision in food production. Students asked questions enthusiastically, and the staff answered with patience. The trip was both informative and enjoyable, leaving them with a deeper appreciation for dairy technology.
Celebration of MES Foundation Day.

MES is a leading educational institution in Maharashtra. It was established by Aadya Krantiveer Vasudeo Balwant Phadake, Shri. Vaman Prabhakar Bhave, Shri Laxman Narhari Indapurkar in 1860.
The Society has continued the glorious legacy of patriotism through cultural and educational initiatives.
The school celebrated MES Foundation Day. All the students gathered on ground to pay homage to the founder members. The school Principal, Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni helped the students to know the history of MES. Headboy Avneesh Kulkarni assured everyone that every student will bear this respect in his heart and will get engaged in doing good work.
The program ended with the MES song which inspired students to accept the challenges bravely and never to forget the school and the Society.
Celebration of Childhood: Celebration of Children’s Day
14th Nov. 2025: Children’s Day is celebrated all over India on 14th November every year in the loving memory of India’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The school decided to create some fun moments for students on this very day. The fun began from assembly itself where fun filled activities like singing, aerobics and dance were included. The entire day was observed as no teaching day and students enjoyed for the whole day.
BSM Echoes: Heating arguments and Steaming Debate.
13th Nov 2025: Inter House Debate Competition was organized in the school. Students were updated about the topics one week prior to the actual event. Every participant came prepared to the battlefield and it resulted into a heating of arguments between the teams. It was a wonderful experience to hear the insightful and interesting views and counterviews of the students. It was a fearless yet mindful expression of thought which was impressive. Prof. Sudhakar Kulkarni helped the school to decide the winner of the competition.
The Mercury House (Senior Group) won this interesting debate competition with their studious expression. The best speaker awards were also declared, and Ms. Ketaki Chivate and Ms. Priyadarshini Deshpande bagged it proudly. Awards were also announced for the best argument, and the winners were Tanvi Kulkarni and Shrimayi Beri. The Judge Prof Sudhakar Kulkarni shared his thoughts with students, he appreciated the depth of thoughts exhibited through this activity.

End of Term with Funfair
16th October 2025:
The term for BSMians ended with great excitement and fun. The school had arranged a Funfair for students and parents.
Students started their vacation with joyful moments together.
Mrs Monika Mohol formally inaugurated this fun filled event. School Committee Chairman Mr Vijay Bhalerao and Visitor Dr Neha Deshpande graced the inauguration program with their presence.
The funfair received active participation from parents as well. Decorative articles were displayed attractively for sale. Fun food stalls caught the eyes of young buddies.
The entire idea was well executed under the guidance of school principal Mrs Aditi Kulkarni. Everyone enjoyed the fun fair and parted happily for celebrating the festival of lights.

On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, 2nd October, a cleanliness drive has been organized at M.E.S. Balshikshan Mandir English Medium School on 1st October in the campus and nearby areas. Students and teachers of std VII actively cleaned playground, and surrounding lanes . Students swept the roads and collected all the garbage . The drive was a success and inspired everyone to contribute towards a clean and green India.

Vidyavrat is a conscious decision taken by our students to concentrate on learning and becoming a good citizen of India.
India is blessed with a great tradition of Vedas and culture. School tries hard to continue this legacy. It has committed itself for creating sensible citizens who will create a better Bharat.
Dr Sanjay Upadhye elucidates the importance of knowing and understanding our roots wisely . He told students in his lucid language that it is necessary to take good care of our own health and make conscious efforts to maintain the good health of our community, society and country as a whole.

Teachers' Day is celebrated in India on 05th September every year in the memory of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, Former President of India and a proud teacher.
BSM celebrated teachers' day with students from Std. VIII - X.
Students enjoyed the movie ' Ubuntu' which distinctly conveyed the love of students for their school and also showcased a beautiful bond between students and teachers.
Information about teachers' day was explained during assembly and students presented teachers a handmade bookmark as a token of love and gratitude.
The school had organized a delicious treat for teachers.
Stories of Nature - Education through films conducted at BSM
On 11th and 12th September, The Youth COSMO event was conducted in a school. A film screening session for our 5th to 8th std students called Stories of Nature took place. Two incredible movies were screened.

Installation of Lord Ganesh at BSM
27.08.2025 : Ganesha festival is one of the most awaited festivals of Maharashtra. Each one awaits to welcome the lord of wisdom at their place. He is fondly called as Ganpati Bappa and Mangalmurti. Mangalmurti was installed in Bal Shikshan Mandir with great enthusiasm. Students of Std. X played dhol and tasha as they brought their favourite Bappa at school.
Students worked hard for eco-friendly decoration.
This year the Ganpati is very special as the decoration reflects the theme of the year ' Incredible India ' and it specially highlights the importance of 'Ayurveda' since it is considered to be the greatest gift from India to the world it also is an effort to give message of Niramay Bharat to students.
The school makes sure that students remain at the apex of every activity and thus every year the Head boy and the Head Girl hold and install the Ganpati, School Headmistress Mrs Aditi Kulkarni, AHM Mrs Bhagyashree Dhamale and all the secondary and higher secondary teachers attended the celebration and joined students in this celebration. The celebration further continued with अथर्वशीर्ष पठण and आरती the next day by different sections.

Students from grade 5 and 6, actively took part in Ganpati idol making activity.
The Ganpati idol making activity was a beautiful and hands-on learning experience for the students. The children were excited to explore their creativity while connecting with the culture and spiritual significance of Ganesha. The activity not only introduced them to the traditional art of idol making but also helped develop their fine motor skills.
This hands-on experience truly highlighted the creativity of the young minds reinforcing the values of culture and spirituality.
Indriya Sanyaman: A key to success.

19th August 2025: It is important to keep our mind in control as the world provides ample means of distraction to the students. The school arranged a session talking about a need to keep our mind, the most powerful weapon, in our control. It was arranged as a part of the Vidyavrat lecture series.
Dr Ram Sathaye told students of std. VIII and IX the importance of keeping mind in our own control rather than getting controlled by it in simple and lucid language. The programme was well conducted under the guidance of School Principal Mrs Aditi Kulkarni.

Exposure to Technology: ATL Robotics Workshop.
15 August 2025 : Display was arranged on the Independence day, flag hoisting in an innovative way by using Robots ,and also Parade of Robots which resembled unity of Nation.
ATL Robotics Workshop was conducted by Kidstalento under the guidance of Mr Nilesh Gawade and his team on 14th August 2025.
The Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) workshop on robotics was designed to foster innovation and technical skills among students. The workshop, conducted by experienced mentors, provided hands-on experience in designing and building robotic models.
Participants worked on projects, such as building robotic arms or obstacle avoidance robots, using advanced robotic kits.
The initiative sparked an interest in robotics and innovation among young minds, fostering creativity and critical thinking.

Celebration of 79th Independence Day.
15th August 2025:
Independence Day is a red letter day for India .The school celebrated 79th Independence Day exuberantly. Group Captain Sunil Kanhere (Retd.) unfurled the flag, it was followed by salami and the National anthem.
Primary students presented a power packed Yoga demonstration and also inspired everyone with a patriotic song.
Group Captain Sunil Kanhere( Retd) , told students to invest in maintaining physical fitness and good mental health. He also stressed the importance of sharp intellect and guided students how to achieve that as the future of this great nation will be shaped by today's youth.

Happy Tinkering in MEGA TINKERING DAY
12/08/2025 : Mega Tinkering Day was celebrated in MES BAL SHIKSHAN MANDIR EMHS, MAYUR COLONY,PUNE on 12th of August 2025.
This was an open event to all stakeholders of the Atal Tinkering Lab ecosystem – including schools, teachers, students, mentors, incubation centers, regional partners.
In a groundbreaking display of collective innovation, the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog , hosted 'Mega Tinkering Day', India's largest-ever school-based tinkering event , students were guided by Mrs. Neha Sharma in online mode to create a prototype of Vacuum cleaner. Students were getting guidance from their ATL teachers and mentors at the same time.
Students enjoyed the event with their own Vacuum cleaners .

8th August 2025 : S.P.M.English medium school had organised a series of interschool competitions 'कै.ह.श्री.साने आंतरशालेय त्रिभाषा करंडक स्पर्धा ' on 8th August 2025. The competitions were-

3.हिंदी नुक्कड नाटिका.
And we are very happy to announce that our school MES BalShikshan Mandir ESM got 1st prize for संस्कृत समूहगीत गायन स्पर्धा, 2nd prize for हिंदी नाटिका and उत्तेजनार्थ prize for मराठी नाट्य अभिवाचन.

आनंदाश्रम संस्था had organised various Sanskrit competition for Std. V-X students.
There was overwhelming response from students. The school participated in different Sanskrit competitions like संस्कृत प्रश्नमंजुषा स्पर्धा, संस्कृत नाट्यवाचन स्पर्धा and संस्कृत स्तोत्रपठण स्पर्धा and students won many prizes and brought glory to the school. Not only the students but also teachers got recognition with a prize for best नाट्यसंहिता.

Students participated in various competitions organized by Bal Ganesh Kothrud Festival and came up with flying colors. Students won various prizes in different competitions like काव्यवाचन and कथाकथन. It was a momentous occasion for students where they tried to understand the culture deeply.

यंदा या स्पर्धेतील संस्कृत समूहगीतासाठी आपल्या शाळेस प्रथम क्रमांकाचे पारितोषिक मिळाले आहे.

Rotary Club Interact Club.

Rotary Club of Pune installed an Interact Club in MES BSM.
The Club Aims at working in the areas of social commitments like students' health and hygiene, girls' safety, traffic discipline.
On the occasion Rotrarian Adv Pradhan and Mrs Sheledar madam briefed students about the initiative. Students were given badges to shoulder the responsibility bestowed on them.
Further in the programme students witnessed a magnificent toy making activity conducted by Dr Vidula Mhaiskar.
Conceptual learning, cognitive learning, kinesthetic learning was well demonstrated. Using things found in daily walk of life and turning it into an object of learning was beyond imagination. Bernali experiments, Area of conservation, sound vibration, Classic geometric folds were noteworthy. She also added value based learning by stating ' Every material teaches discipline' !
Students were captivated and stood motivated in the entire session.
Celebrating India: Celebrating Tradition
(Poster Making and Mehendi Activity)
29th July 2025: The holy month Shravan brings with it a message of happiness and prosperity. The first festival of Shravan is Nagpanchami, it reflects our gratitude towards different elements of nature. It is celebrated by drawing Mehendi and worshipping snakes. It also is a time for family gatherings, sharing stories, and participating in local festivities, reinforcing cultural traditions.
The school arranged an activity to take the legacy of this art of drawing mehendi ahead and bring the joy of creativity to its students. Mehendi drawing activity was planned for girls in the last three sessions of the day and Poster making activity was scheduled for boys.
The theme for boys Poster making activity was adjacent to the theme of the year ‘Incredible India’. Students were immersed in the activity and were found engrossed in making beautiful posters and drawing mehendi.
Active Participation in ASEEM Foundation Competitions.

ASEEM FOUNDATION is a non-governmental organization committed for 'Developing and establishing connections between the people from the disturbed Border regions and from the rest of India'.
The NGO had organised a series of competition for Std VIll to X to commemorate the 26th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas. The series included competitions like elocution, group song singing and essay writing where the topics were all related to the day and bravery of Indian armed forces. There was overwhelming response from students. More than 25 students participated in essay competition. For group singing, students sang a Bengali song and was appreciated by the audience.
Shrimayi Beri from IXA got 3rd prize in elocution.
In the process of participation and presentation students learned much more about armed forced and its unsung heroes.
Health Check-up camp for BSMians
24th July 2025:
Health Check-up camp was arranged in the school on three successive days i.e. 22, 23 and 24th July 2025 with comprehensive health screenings to the students. Rotary Club of Pune, Warje, in collaboration with Deshpande Hospital, Kothrud initiated the quality health check up for all the students of BSM.
The health camp included general health check-up and eye check-up. Experts in the field also provided overall medical guidance to the students. The doctors panel ensured detailed medical check-up of every child and tried to clear students' doubts about their health and hygiene.
The activity was well executed under the guidance of school Principal Mrs Aditi Kulkarni, AHM Mrs Bhagyashree Dhamale and Supervisor Mrs Sneha Pethkar.
Face to Face Interaction with Scientists: an interactive session with Dr Anuradha Jape

Science is a new language, and a scientific approach is an attitude. The school takes efforts to develop this attitude among its students.
BSM Science Club is one such effort which focuses on helping students interact with scientists themselves.
It helps students to know the work of scientists and also provides them an opportunity to explore new areas of research.
Face to face with scientists, a session was conducted for the students of std. IX and X .
Scientist Dr.Anuradha Jape explained students' the basics related to her research in Microbial Medicines - Enemy Vs Enemy : Use of Bacteriophage against Bacterial diseases.
She focused more on illustration related to Human Microbiome : which has become a National agenda nowadays.
Importance of Probiotics, Phage therapy was very well explained with reference to Indian food culture.

१७ जुलै २०२५ : गुरुपौर्णिमा हा एक शुभ दिवस आहे जेव्हा भारतात गुरु आणि त्यांच्या शिष्यांमधील पवित्र बंधन विविध प्रकारे साजरे केले जाते. प्रत्येकजण त्यांच्या गुरुंबद्दल कृतज्ञता व्यक्त करण्यासाठी शक्य तितक्या मार्गाने हा वारसा साजरा करण्याचा प्रयत्न करतो.
म ए सो बाल शिक्षण मंदिर याला अपवाद नाही•शाळेने ही प्रथा कायम ठेवण्याची संधी याही वर्षी घेतली. शाळेने भक्ती आणि विज्ञान यांच्यातील सर्वोत्तम समन्वय साधणारी पारंपारिक कीर्तन परंपरा अविरत चालू ठेवण्याचा निर्णय घेतला.
सौ .श्रुती जोशी यांनी इयत्ता पाचवी ते सातवीच्या विद्यार्थ्यांना कीर्तन परंपरेबद्दल प्रथम माहिती दिली .कीर्तनकार श्री निहाल खांबेटे यांनी ईश्वर भक्ती ,पंढरपूरची वारी ,गुरुकृपा ,गुरुभक्ती ,गुरुनिष्ठा असे सर्व विषय आपल्या कीर्तनाच्या माध्यमातून सादर केले 'भक्ताचे अंतरी सावळा श्रीहरी 'हा स्वामी स्वरूपानंदांचा अभंग निरुपनासाठी घेतला होता .
दुसऱ्या दिवशी इयत्ता आठवी, नववी आणि दहावीच्या विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी विद्याव्रत व गुरुपौर्णिमा या संस्कारांची सांगड घालून कीर्तनाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले होते. कार्यक्रमाच्या प्रारंभी सौ .राही भालेराव यांनी विद्याव्रताचे महत्व विशद केले .त्यानंतर 'गुरु ' या विषयाला केंद्रीभूत धरून कीर्तन सादर करण्यात आले .'आम्ही जाणू गुरुचे पाय 'हा श्री .पंत महाराज बाळेकुंद्रीकर या सत्पुरुषांचा अभंग निरुपनासाठी घेतला होता .किशोरवयीन मुलांच्या ज्ञानाच्या गरजेनुसार विषय वेगवेगळा होता.
त्यात चांगले ज्ञान मिळवण्याचे आणि आयुष्यभर ते ज्ञान आचरणात आणण्याचे महत्त्व अधोरेखित केले. ह .भ .प .श्री .निहाल खांबेटे यांनी आयुष्यात चांगले आणि वाईट कसे समजून घ्यावे आणि विविध परिस्थितीत विविध पातळ्यांवर गुरु कसे ओळखावे याबद्दल उत्तम दाखले देऊन त्याचे उत्तम स्पष्टीकरण दिले ज्यामुळे विद्यार्थ्यांना गुरुशिष्य परंपरा आणि ज्ञानाचा शोध यासंबंधीच्या त्यांच्या कल्पनांबद्दल आत्मपरीक्षण करायला आत्मबल दिले .
कार्यक्रमाचे नियोजन दोन विभागांमध्ये अनुक्रमे १६ आणि १७ जुलै रोजी एमईएस सभागृहात करण्यात आले.
कीर्तनकार श्री निहाल खांबेटे यांच्यासोबत हार्मोनियमवर श्री विश्वजीत मेस्त्री आणि तबल्यावर श्री आदित्य केळकर होते.
संपूर्ण संकल्पना प्रशालेच्या मुख्याध्यपिका सौ .अदिती कुलकर्णी यांनी उत्तम प्रकारे मांडली आणि सौ .स्नेहा पेठकर यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाद्वारे ती आयोजित करण्यात आली.
चांगल्या शिक्षणाचा आणि गुरुशिष्य परंपरेचा वारसा पुढच्या पिढीला देण्याचा आदर्श हा एक प्रामाणिक प्रयत्न होता.

Rakshabandhan- A bond between Students Of BSM and Soldiers
Date- 17/7/2025
For the pious occasion of Guru Pournima, BSM School decided to send it's gratitude through handmade Rakhis and Heartfelt notes to our Soldiers. We organized an activity of rakhi making to honor the real heroes of our nation. Our students with our Art teachers prepared beautiful handmade rakhis as a symbol of love, gratitude, and respect for the soldiers who selflessly protect us day and night. Each rakhi was made with devotion and carried the emotions of countless prayers for their safety and well-being. The children wrote small notes and blessings to send along with the rakhis, expressing how much they value the sacrifices made by these guardians of our country. This activity was organised to inculcate a sense of pride and patriotism. The rakhis were then carefully packed and sent to the army units through PANCHAAJANYAA FOUNDATION. They are dedicatedly working in this field for the past 3 years. This activity proved to be even more meaningful by acknowledging the role of the soldiers as our protectors and the guiding strength of the country.

MES EBSM always contributes for the wellbeing of the society.
A lecture by well known environmentalist Mr Vinod Bodhankar was arranged for the students of Std IV and VI to highlight the importance of marine and marine life.In the Sagar Mitra Abhiyaan students, teachers deposit the dry plastic and e- waste in the school for further recycling.
Mr. Vinod Bodhankar sir provided valuable guidance in this regard. Recycling, Reducing and Reusing plastic waste to preserve Oceans is the gist of the project. With the growing need to create awareness to protect blue- planet that is the earth, such a sparking initiative is as important as their work to save , sooth and support water reservoirs and acquatic flora and fauna.
Career guidance session for std. X students.
03 July 2025: Std. X acts as a milestone in students' career. They get an opportunity to walk on their desired path after their board exams.
The school had arranged for a career guidance session for std. X students and parents. Mrs Rohini Ranade, a well distinguished personality in the career guidance field helped parents and students in understanding various different avenues which they can explore after completing their board exams. It was an interesting session which covered a lot of information about different career options. It received a warm response from students as well as parents. The programme was well conducted under the able guidance of Principal Mrs Aditi Kulkarni.
Oath Taking Ceremony
30th June 2025 : the oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected student leaders was a significant event, marking the official beginning of their tenure. The ceremony was attended by principal Mrs Aditi kulkarni, students std 5th , 6th and 9th std. Badges were given by Principal to newly elected students representatives.
The badge holders took the oath of dedication and devotion for the betterment of school discipline and also decided to inspire students to excel in various fields.
Avneesh Kulkarni took the oath as a Head Boy and Anushree Inamdar acquired a huge support from students and is chosen as Head Girl of the school.
Vice Prefect Boy being Saish Hadap and Vice Prefect Girl Kaushiki Vaze. House captains and Vice Captains were elected by respective house students during the House meetings. Assistant Head Mistress Mrs Bhagyashree Dhamale and Supervisor Mrs Sneha Pethkar attended the programme.

Std. X : Felicitation of Shining Diamonds

Std. X felicitation ceremony marks a significant milestone in the academic journey of students.
It's a proud moment for school as it provides an opportunity to recognise students' dedication and hard work and appreciate them with a pat on their back
Achievers were appreciated at the hands of Mr Vijay ji Bhalerao, Dr Neha Deshpande and Mrs Manjusha Durve, Head Mistress, Primary and Mrs Aditi Kulkarni, Principal, Secondary and Higher Secondary. Mr Vijay ji Bhalerao briefed students about the need of higher education in today’s world. Dr Neha Deshpande told students to explore untrodden paths in their careers. Students and parents expressed their gratitude towards school. The program ended with a lot of happiness and positivity.
Vidyavrat : Creating solid foundation for success with Regular efforts.
27th June 2025 :
It is said,' Consistency is the key to success.' BSM keeps consistent efforts for imbibing good values among its students.
Vidyavrat is one of the age old Indian tradition which helps students to maintain their focus on the pursuit of knowledge. It also aims at passing age old Indian values to the further generations. M.E.S. Bal Shikshan Mandir E.M.S. organizes Vidyavrat Sanskar ritual for std. VIII students. A lecture series for better understanding of values is arranged for the students. Each lecture in this series highlights some or the other important value expected to get inculcated through Vidyavrat Sanskar. The first session telling the importance of regularity in building good habits was conducted by the school. Mrs Sucheta Kadethankar, an experienced Yoga and Vedanta teacher and a speaker, told students the importance of regularity in exercise and proper diet. The session was interactive.
Students tried collect the essence of the discussion and also promised to try being regular in their studies as well as their fitness exercises.
Embracing Womanhood
26th June 2025:
The school tries to develop a healthy generation having sound knowledge of body and the changes it goes through from time to time. 'कळी उमलताना' is an effort initiated by Sadguru Seva Pratisthan to help adolescent girls to understand Menstrual Cycle.
Dr. Kavita Tamaskar, a renowned Gynecologist and Obstetrician guided girls from std. VII to X about Menstrual Cycle and Hygiene. It is a less touched yet very important topic to discuss. Dr Tamaskar solved the doubts and queries asked by young girls. Information booklets along with sanitary napkins were distributed to girl students. The lecture was warmly received by students. The activity was successfully accomplished under the guidance of Principal Aditi Kulkarni. Asst. Head Mistress Mrs Bhagyashree Dhamale rendered a formal vote of thanks.
Smart Board for Smart Schooling.
21st June 2025:
International Yoga Day marked special significance to the school as Rotary Club of Pune, South Region handed over a smart board to school. It was a confluence of ancient tradition which Yoga suggests and smart technology to pace up with the world today. Rotary club activities focus around bringing positive changes in the society. One such change they scheduled to bring by handing over a smart board, which will help students in better learning. A smart board was handed over to school in the presence of Dr. Mandar Ambike and Dr. Vijaya Gujarati, Presidents, Rotary Club of Pune (South Region), Rotarian Vinod Agarwal. Mr Vijay Bhalerao, Chairman, School Committe and Dr Neha Deshpande, Visitor accepted it on behalf of the school. Principal Mrs Aditi Kulkarni assured the dignitaries about the use of board in day to day teaching - learning practices. In a way this smart board will help teachers teach in a smart way.

International Yoga Day 2025
The international Yog Day was celebrated in BSM on 20th June 2025 .The day was well equipped with asanas, sun salutations and meditation.
Students are motivated throughout the year to maintain a sound mind and a healthy body. On the occasion of Yog Day students were on their toes to demonstrate flexibility in body and peacefulness in mind. Different Asanas such as Tadasan, Trikonasan, Padhastanasan, Paschimotanasan, Sukhasan, Ushtrasan were performed by students. The program was conducted under the guidance of Principal Mrs Aditi Kulkarni.
BSM: Nurturing values by practicing them.
20th June 2025:
Wari has a long tradition in Maharashtra which is centered around the worship of Lord Vitthal (Vithoba), a form of Vishnu. It emphasizes a duty-based approach to life.The pilgrimage promotes equality and community, transcending caste and social barriers. BSMians on its Foundation Day availed the privilege of having palanquins in the city and decided to use this opportunity to help students to take their share in the service of these human gods.The school supports Nirmal wari.Thus bathing bar soaps were collected from the students and distributed among the warkaris. This was a satisfying experience for everyone as each one could put his squirrel's share in this noble task. It was a value brought into practice. The initiative was well executed under the guidance of school principal Mrs Aditi Kulkarni.

BSM Celebrates 45 Years of Success.
20th June 2025: MES BSM EMS is one of the renowned schools in the city. It is specifically famous for its initiative in the field of education and innovation in teaching methods.
BSM Foundation Day was celebrated with great zeal. The day is marked with golden letters as BSM has become synonymous with success and initiator. MES BSM EMS proudly celebrated its 46th Foundation Day in the auditorium in the presence of Shri Vijay Bhalerao, Chairman, School Committe, Dr. Neha Deshpande, Visitor, Shri Ajay Purohit, Shri Atul Kulkarni, and Shri Sudhir Bhosale, members of School Committe, Shri Ravindra Vaidya, Principal, MES Senior college. Glimpses of school journey were presented to the audience through power points. The occasion was graced by former principals of the school Smt. Sunita Bhagwat, Smt. Anjali Karve and Smt. Lata Naik who worked hard to bring glory to the school. Guests were honoured at the hands of the dignitaries. The occasion tickled the fond memories of former pillars of the school. The present leaders, Mrs. Sayali Deshmukh, Mrs. Manjusha Durve and Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni were felicitated at the hands of Vijay Bhalerao sir. Bhalerao sir shared his thoughts ensuring everyone about the school's adherence to the values and culture which was built by the efforts of many generations together.
On this beautiful day energy bars were distributed among students.

Beginning of the Academic Year with zeal and enthusiasm.
16th June 2025 :
The new academic year began with great zeal and enthusiasm. Std V to X students were excited to resume their school activities. Even the rain could not overpower the curiosity and happiness of the students.
Std V joining the secondary section were seen extremely curious. They were given a warm welcome by Principal Mrs. Aditi Kulkarni. These blooming buds felt confident when they met their teachers and got involved in different fun activities. Younger ones were treated with energy bars. Students were enlightened by Principal on the very first day of the school.
It was a fun-filled day for students who got a glimpse of their happy, new academic year.
