Every year M.E.S Balshikshan Mandir English Medium School celebrates National Science Day on 28th February to mark the novel discovery of the Raman effect by the great physicist Sir C.V.Raman and to inculcate scientific temper among the students to build an advanced and developed nation.This year the national science day was celebrated virtually on 1st march 2021.The online science project presentations were planned standard wise for each section of the school under the guidance of headmistress Mrs.Geetanjali Bodhankar ma’am.Students from std V to std IX selected one topic and prepared individual project from the following themes
1)Enabling outcome driven quality education.
2)Ensuring inclusivity and equality for all.
3)Enabling a sustainable environment and justice.
4)Enhancing health and hygiene.Being an individual project students got a platform to express their own ideas in the form of problems,observations, solutions,survey results,etc.Science and language teachers evaluated the students on various criteria like objective,working,material used,application,and understanding of the project.The unique part was that std IX students presented some part of presentation in Sanskrit.English teachers evaluated the students on their vocabulary. Marathi and Hindi teachers also asked the students some forms of translation. In this way various subjects integrity was observed in the online science project presentation.The entire science day celebration was conducted online in an unique method under the guidance of Headmistress Mrs Geetanjali Bodhankar madam.
