Mehandi Competition

Every year,Mehendi Competition is conducted in BSM Secondary Section , on occasion of Nag Panchmi (for girls).

This year too it was conducted on 28th July 2017, Friday for all the students of both the shifts . Also conducted Tatoo drawing competition for boys. The aim behind this is to make students aware about our culture, to develop skill of drawing , free hand , creative thinking etc.

Girls as well as boys enjoyed this activity. This activity was conducted for last two periods . Judges for this competition for Morning Shift were Mrs. Smita Hipparkar and Mrs. Roshani Wani, and for Noon Shift Mrs. Harsha Dalal.

English Debate

An English debate was arranged in MES Bal Shikshan Mandir English Medium School on 4th August 2017.

Debate is one of the best tools to develop oratory skills and speaking skills of the students. They learn to organize their thoughts systematically. The competition was an opportunity for the students to express their thoughts. It was arranged in two groups, Junior group (Std. V, VI and VII) and the Senior group (Std. VIII, IX, and X). It was a housewife competition. The topics for the debate were : Junior group: Is technology ruling mankind today? Are we becoming slaves to technology? Senior group: Should India ban cricketers and artists from Pakistan as a protest against its terrorist activities? The first three houses Neptune, Mercury and Jupiter argued for the motion and Pluto, Uranus argued against the motion.

The students were prepared with their arguments and were up-to-date. They followed all the instructions and rules by arguing systematically. Mrs. Archana Patwardhan and Mrs. Chitra Joshi from the commerce stream of the higher secondary section the school were the judges for the debate. The children participated whole-heartedly and the audience supported their arguments with a noisy cheering. The winners of the event are as follows:

Inter-House English Elocution Competition

Secondary Section of MES Bal Shikshan Mandir English Medium School had arranged an elocution competition for all the students. The topics for the competition were based on the theme of the academic year: MY INSPIRATION.

The students took this as an opportunity to express their thoughts boldly and enthusiastically. It was arranged in two groups including all the House participants : Senior Group: Std. VIII to Std. X Junior Group: Std. V to Std. VII. Mother, nature, eminent personalities around and even some non-living objects like a pen were the topics chosen by the students. There was an atmosphere of enthusiasm and encouragement for the participants. They had sincerely submitted their scripts what they were going to talk about.

Mrs. Sayali Deshmukh the Headmistress of the School, Pre-Primary Section and Mrs. Sneha Pethkar the coordinator of the school, Secondary Section spared their valuable time for judging the competition. They also encouraged the students to participate more in number the next year.

Charitrya Upasak Chhatra Competition

Apporva receiving the award "Charitrya Upasak Chhatra " sponsered by Charitrya Pratishthan . About 80 students from 20 reputed schools participated in award contest. The award had 3 stage qualifying criteria .First stage scrutiny by school, followed by inhouse training by Charitrya Pratishthan, written test to assess the social awarness ,though process & attitude . Final round was personal interview by selection committee .Each round was elimination round. The event was chaired by Chief Guest , honorable Shri. Sushil Kumar Shinde -ex home Minister ,Govt of India & ex Chief minister Govt of Maharashtra . Padmashree Mr.Prataprao Pawar was also filicitated with National character award on the occasion
